23rd VGMA: S3fa eyes the Best Collaboration of the Year Award

23rd VGMA: S3fa eyes the Best Collaboration of the Year Award

The fast rising Black Avenue Music signee, S3fa has said her nomination in this year’s Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA) is a step in a right direction.

According to her, she deserves to beat her contenders from the “Best Collaboration of the Year” category for the coveted award.

Speaking in an interview with the media, the “E-choke” hitmaker indicated that her song was more popular and the collaboration was also on point, hence deserved her nomination and award.

“If not for anything, Mr. Drew and I deserve the best collaboration of the year, we truly really deserve it. I’m not saying the nominees there haven’t worked hard, they have worked amazingly and perfectly well but if you are in this country and you haven’t heard of ‘Echoke’, then you are probably living under a rock,” she added.

S3fa stated that she had worked really hard for the year under review and was still looking forward for more awards nominations.

“We are still working hard, we are trying our best. I am looking at a lot of nominations but so far we’ve been nominated for a few and I am super grateful to God,” she added.

The talented Songstress revealed that she was depressed last year for her efforts not being recognised by stakeholders so she went on her knees to question God and also prayed passionately for a different narrative.

“Last year this time, I was super depressed; I was home and sad. I was like…. God what is happening? Today, God has shown His face to me and I am so happy; even having the pleasure of performing here is amazing,” S3fa stated.

S3fa so far gained three nominations in the 23rd VGMA, namely Best New Artiste, Best Collaboration and Best Afrobeat/Afropop artiste.
