2Face Idibia builds a modern studio for a University in Nigeria  

As part of efforts in grooming talents right from school, the multiple award winning, Nigerian music icon, 2Face Idibia has built a multimillion music studio for students of Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) in Ile Ife.

Announcing this on his Instagram page on Tuesday, March 15, 2022, 2Face said his gesture came as a result of his service to the school.

“Sometime ago I was honoured by the Great OAU as I was inducted into the school of music as A Fellow Of The School of music,” he said.

The musician shared a picture of himself and Eyitope Ogunbodede, OAU’s vice-chancellor after the studio was commissioned.

In his welcome address, the Vice-Chancellor thanked the musician for his commitment and dedication in improving the facility of the school.

He said the studio would go a long way to help the university and the students in enhancing teaching and learning.

Mr Ogunbodede stated students musical skills would be sharpened while gaining requisite knowledge on how studio works were done.

He commended the “brother” hitmaker for the kind gesture, adding that “OAU now has the best recording studio in any Nigerian university, thanks to 2Baba.”

Known privately as Innocent Ujah Idibia, 2Face  released his debut solo album Face 2 Face in 2004, which established him as a viable solo artiste after breaking from a group.

Following the release of his debut album, he released his second album Grass 2 Grace in 2006, which contained hits likes “One Love”, “True Love, “4 Instance”. 2face is the founder of Hypertek Entertainment

Aside being a singer he is also a songwriter, record producer, entrepreneur, philanthropist, humanitarian, and activist.
