After his epic rain performance at the 2022 3Music awards, the drill artiste, Black Sherif who beat his fellow contenders to win the breakthrough act of the year shares emotional speech.
The “Second Sermon” crooner receiving the awards said it was his first time of being honoured in an award show and expressed his heart felt gratitude to the organisers for the awards.
He noted that he came from a humble background and little did he know that he would get this far, casting his eyes to where he came from, he was very appreciative to be honoured in such a manner.
Black Sherif also won three other awards namely, Hip Life/Hip Hop Act of The Year, Hip Hop Song of the year with his viral track “second sermon” and Song Of The Year with the same track Second Sermon.
He dedicated some of his awards to fans, supporters and the Kumericans and also gave praises to God for protection and the talent.
Blacko also used the opportunity to announce his upcoming track which he believed would be the song of the year and urged fans and music lovers to watch out for it.
“Next week Thursday, 31st March l will drop another song of the year, Kweku the traveller so watch out for it,” he added.
The rapper who opened the show thrilled the audience when he used a rain to get them entertained.
His performance left many in shock following his surprise stage act at when he evoked rain to fall on stage as he delivered renditions of his hit songs.
The performance was the first in history on Ghanaian stage where an artiste would give all his all to get patrons entertained to break even with their money.
The 3Music Awards was held in Accra and it was in its fifth edition with an ultimate aime to award talented and hardworking musicians for their enormous contributions to the growth of the Ghanaian music industry.
