A Family Affair Episode 1 Cherry Red inherits part of Estrellas’ fortune, Dave resents Cherry Red over her relationship with Paco
Paco is a cow boy who rode a bull and won many awards for his efficacy. After winning an award, he gives it to a woman of his dream Cherry Red. A flashback highlighted when Cherry Red was exhibiting her carpentry skills when she was young during the rainy season.
The leak of the roof made her act like a carpenter. An Attorney of Carol Estrella journeyed to the place in search of Cherry Red. Led by Panyong’s second wife, Cherry Red went to the hearing of Carol’s will and was glad to know that she inherited a house from the wealthy Estrellas.

Though, Freddie wanted to buy the house Cherry inherited from his wife for 40,000 which the property did not even match the price. Cherry and her stepmother declined the offer and even opted to work for Freddie as a nanny for his youngest son, Drew to be able to cater for the house expenses.
The Magwayens moved to the inherited place. As they grew up, Dave and Cherry developed feelings for themselves but were unable to embrace their feelings since Dave had to travel to Manila to further his education.
In his absence, Cherry managed the ranch with the help of Paco, the second son. Soon, Dave returned from his trip to discover that his brother was also courting Cherry. He then had to keep his feelings hidden.
Though, Ebs, Cherry’s stepmother had advised her to woo the four boys to gain one for them to be rich, Cherry remained decorum and was poised to work hard to change her financial fortune. She was not willing to gain money from sëdüçtion.
Ebs made it clear that she was not the family member of the Estrellas even though they took her in quickly. Since, Cherry was charged with teaching Dave the ins and outs of the ranch and how things were done at the ranch, she realised Dave’s cold attitude towards her.

She wondered if she did something bad for him to avoid her like a plaque. It was like a different Dave returned. Elsewhere, Paco worked in the interest of the ranch workers who wanted salary increments.
However, Fred was not ready to increase the salary of the workers and was willing to employ new workers. If the workers wanted to resign or demonstrate, he couldn’t care or less.
Dave made Cherry believe that he was now a grown man and had changed.
Little did she know that he was acting that way because he witnessed Paco k!$$ing her, the moment he wanted to present to her the necklace he bought.
