Presidential Candidate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama has reiterated calls on Ghanaians to reject the Akufo-Addo led administration for an act he described as scam.

According to him, the current government has done nothing to be retained in the forthcoming December 7 polls.

Addressing the people of Navrongo during a campaign tour of the Upper East Region, former President Mahama said President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo’s social interventions and other policies were already implemented by him and has done nothing than throwing dust into the eye of the public.

He termed the act of the government as “Sakawa” and insisted that he should be voted out.

“This is the greatest political sakawa that has ever happened,” Mahama said.

He asserted that President Akufo-Addo has changed the quality life he (Mahama) left the citizenry in and was reversing that quality life, hence the calls to kick him out.

“If you vote for a government and it comes into power and the quality of your life is going in reverse then you have to vote the government out,” Mr Mahama urged.

Proving his competency to the people of Navrongo, he promised to pay all contractors owed by the Akufo-Addo government, improve the quality of food offered to students and restore confidence in the financial sector.

The NDC flagbearer also slammed the Akufo-Addo government for the job losses the financial sector clean up left in its wake.

“This government has destroyed more jobs than it has created. The only job they can point to is NaBCo, and yet they have destroyed more than 10,000 jobs in the banking sector,” he added.

Former President Mahama  cited Group Ndoum’s GN Bank as an example of an institution purportedly failed by the state.

“All the GN banks used to have staff in them all over the country. Today where are those staff? They are all sitting at home,” he alleged.
