Dangme Music Awards nomination opens for GaDangme musicians

The second “Dangme Music Awards” (DMA) has been opened for local musicians to file for nominations in order to make a case for themselves in this year’s edition.

The awards which is organised by iShootMedia aims at celebrating and recognising Dangme musicians to promote their works while connecting them to a wider market to build a network for investors to resource their crafts.

It is brought in Partnership with SpotOnNews, Radio Ada, Ada TV, Rite FM, Obonu TV, 360TV, PramCiTi Tv among others.

Speaking in an interview with SpotOnNews in Accra yesterday, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of iShootMedia, Otumfuo Ayiku Solomon popularly called Bra Levels explained that the awards among other things was to promote the Dangme language for the indigenes to project the Dangme culture.

He said through the awards, various industrial talents including Disc Jockeys (DJs), music producers, video directors and musicians would be honoured for their unique contribution and role played in ensuring the development of Dangme culture.

Bra Levels said the 2021 edition of the awards which had 38 categories also has mouth watery prizes aside the silver plaque, bragging title and exposure which the winners would gain.

He therefore encouraged talented GaDangme musicians to file their nominations by obtaining a form from their website “www.dangmemusicawards.com”

He said musicians and the key industrial players should file their nominations before “August 1, 2021 to be part of the greatest award event which provide a bigger platform for GaDangme musicians.”

“We also advise our talents to use DMA as the connecting button in order to make entertainment more attractive on Dangme land and with that a lot can be achieved,” Bra Levels added.
