Fantana to meet Bullet today over termination of contract with the label
The “Rich Gyal Anthem” hitmaker, Fantana is to meet management of her signed label, Rufftown Records this afternoon to discuss her exit from the label.
According to a statement released yesterday by the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the label, Ricky Nana Agyeman, popularly known as Bullet, the company was seeking to terminate the contract of the new signee after she engaged in a feud with her label mate, Wendy Shay.
In a letter titled; “Request For A Mutual Termination Meeting,” he stated that Fantana was acting rudely and her actions in the past days have greatly affected the image of the brand label.
Bullet noted that comments made by Fantana during her live Instagram session have dented the hard-earned reputation of the company, thus the termination meeting.
“In view of this, management would like to request a meeting between yourself and management to enable us commence discussions on your future dealings with the record label,” the statement said.
During an interview on Friday, Fantana insisted that Wendy Shay did not have hit songs or works that could earn her international recognition, adding that Wendy was a local champion.
The ‘Uber Driver’ got offended by the words of her label sister and replied the singer for only creating news with her big teeth but not hit songs.
“Mit große Zähne macht man keine Hitsongs…Ich mach Kohle Und scheiß auf euch alle” which means “You don’t make hit songs with big teeth…I make coal and sh*t on all of you,” she said.
In response, Fantana called her label rival “Uncle Shay” who had no hit songs to cross boundaries with her career.
She also went live on Instagram to address the issue and warned Wendy Shay not to talk about her teeth expressing sentiment that due to her teeth she was bullied by friends when she was a kid.
“B…h, f..k you…I am mad, I am mad I take my teeth very personal so anyone that gonna talk about my teeth I’ll be mad…you don’t even have balls because you insulted me in German,” Fantana lamented.
In her rants, she urged Wendy Shay to keep all the songs composed by Bullet, stressing that she did not want to have anything to do with the label nor their songs and lyrics.
Against this backdrop, the label owner issued a letter to discuss the future of Fantana with the label and are expected to meet at the company’s premise exactly 1:00pm today.
This is not the first time the two artistes have engaged in feud.
In 2019, the two signees engaged in similar drama with Fantana saying Wendy Shay was bullying her since she joined the label.
Bullet also omitted her name from a post where he called three of the label’s signees as “the true Rufftown family,” which made her felt exempted from the label.
