Funny Face granted GH¢120k bail after 2weeks in police custody

Comic actor Benson Nana Yaw Oduro Boateng, known widely as Funny Face has been granted GH¢120,000 bail by a District Court in Kasoa.

This comes after he was remanded for allegedly injuring five people in an accident at Kakraba in Kasoa.

The case which was heard on Tuesday, April 9, saw the prosecution give an update on the health of the victims.

According to the prosecution, four of the victims have been discharged from the hospital.

However, one victim who was said to be in critical condition at the time of the accident is now recuperating.

Meanwhile, Funny Face would be released from custody after he met the bail conditions pending further legal proceedings.

On the evening of Sunday, March 24, Funny Face allegedly hit five pedestrian including a grandmother with her two grandchildren at Kakraba, Kasoa in the Central Region.

One of the victims, at the time, fell into a coma while the others were receiving treatment at the Winneba Trauma Centre.

Funny Face was put before the court, on Tuesday, March 26, on charges of drunk driving and careless driving.

The actor and comedian spent two weeks in police custody prior to being granted bail.
