Iyanya appointed as Tourism and Entertainment Special Assistant in Nigeria
Nigerian Singer, Iyanya Mbuk has been appointed as the Senior Special Assistant on Tourism and Entertainment by the Cross River state governor, Ben Ayade.
According to a statement released on September 1, 2021 by the Governor’s Special Adviser, Media, and Publicity, Christian Ita in the country revealed that the “Orio” hitmaker and other 13 people have been given appointments by the Governor.
Aside him, 26 others were also appointed as aides,
The appointments, the statement said take immediate effect.
The governor earlier approved the engagement of 500 members of the All Progressives Congress.
“His Excellency the State Governor, Sir Ben Ayade has approved the immediate engagement of the under-listed persons in fulfillment of his promise to engage 500 members of the All Progressives Congress.
“They are to proceed to their respective local governments of origin for documentation,” the statement added.
Iyanya rose to fame after winning the first season of Project Fame West Africa and was best known for his hit single “Kukere” and hails from Cross River State.
The popular musician some years ago dated Ghanaian actress, Yvonne Nelson and broke with her when the actress least expected.
Earlier report indicated that Yvonne Nelson’s heart was broken after the musician dumped her.
