Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker of ‘Rush Hour’ Fame join Ghanaian celebrities to endorse Akufo-Addo
Celebrated Chinese and American actor, Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker have endorsed President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and are appealing for four more years for him to continue his developmental work in Ghana.
The actors who were best known for their roles in “Rush Hour,” a movie, in a new photo were seen allegedly soliciting vote for the Ghanaian president for him to continue his mandate.
Prior to their endorsement, other celebrated icons including Samini, Sarkodie, Daddy Lumba, Afia Schwarzenegger among others have urged Ghanaians to look at their condition and retain the Akufo-Addo-led administration.
They said President Akufo-Addo initiated development policies like Free Senior High school (SHS), resolving the power crisis, One District one factory (1D1F), Planting for food and jobs, Nation Builders Corps (NaBCo) among others which they explained have enhanced developmental agenda of the country.
To them, when President Akufo-Addo is given another term there would be total transformation of the economy, hence the call on the citizenry to give him another chance to complete all his projects and vision for Ghana.
Meanwhile, Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy have also endorsed the President and some of his policies which geared towards the attainment of Ghana Beyond Aid agenda.
The Giant musicians earlier endorsed the Ekumfi Juice popularly known as Eku juice and encouraged Ghanaians to purchase made in Ghana products to fast track the Ghana Beyond Aid agenda.
Shatta Wale initially urged the citizenry to give Nana Akufo-Addo another term for the generous offers through his social intervention programmes that has helped every Ghanaian child to have access to quality education.
He acknowledged that the President has done miraculously well and deserved another term.
However, Samini, Sarkodie and Daddy Lumba have composed songs to facilitate the appeal for vote process to ensure President Akufo-Addo gain the victory in the December 7 elections.
Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker were not only the foreign celebrities who have endorsed Nana Akufo-Addo, Nigerian actor Hanks Anuku also in 2016 endorsed President Akufo-Addo and was seen in major campaign rallies canvassing vote for the then opposition which all helped to bring the New Patriotic Party (NPP) into power.
