Kofi Kinaata leaves legacy for the West side over historic achievement in the VGMA 

Fanti rapper cum singer, Kofi Kinaata has left a footprint for young singers and songwriters in the Western Region after Castro the Destroyer died from the industry.

He has been acknowledged as the first Ghanaian artiste to win from competitive categories in the Vodafone Ghana Music (VGMA) with a unique dialect.

According to Kofi Kinaata, he was the first artiste in Ghana who has won songwriter awards for three times.

Announcing his achievements to the world, the “Things Fall Apart” hitmaker noted that no Ghanaian musician had been able to write songs to fetch him or herself the song writer award.

“First time in the history of #VGMAs! An artiste has won this Songwriter Award for the 3rd time,” he said.

Kofi Kinaata thanked God for such an honour and for given him such creative intellect to lace words together to form a suitable rhythmic sound that is embraced by the world.

He also commended fans who voted and supported his musical career and promised them for better songs in days ahead.

“Thanks to God! Thanks to all my fans worldwide. #TeamMooove,” Kofi Kinaata added.

This year, Kofi Kinaata gained about five nominations in the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.

He won three awards including song writer of the year, highlife song of the year and the most popular song of the year.

Many had belief that he could have won the artiste of the year for such impressive songs he has been releasing consistently.

The Team Move king, known in real life as Martin Luther King Arthur is loved by many based on his story-telling music.

Both adults and youth die for his songs for the lessons it teaches.

Kofi Kinaata was earlier signed to High Grade family and during the night of the awards he dedicated his awards to Samini, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the record label.
