Kohwe dies at age 75, this is the real cause of his death

Legendary Ghanaian comic actor, Kofi Laing, who became popular through a national drama series with a name Kohwe, has died at the age of 75.

The actor who passed away on Thursday, September 16 is believed to have died from from stroke.

Confirming his death to the media, his daughter, Comfort Laing, indicated that her father had been suffering from a rare disease for the past years.

She stated that the family joined resources together to help the ace actor gain the necessary medical attention but things went worse each day.

A few weeks ago, it was reported that he had suffered a stroke and was undergoing treatment at a health facility.

Meanwhile, Kohwe in two years ago spoke about his financial challenges; after which a former Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture, Ms Barbara Oteng Gyasi, and a group called Cape Coast Oguaa, and other people, donated cash and items to him to support him.

Kohwe is known for his sterling roles in the Akan Drama series and the popular District Colonial Court.

Like Psalm Adjetefio, Kohwe had been in the news several times begging for aid from Ghanaians.

Somehow, his plea was never responded to in a massive way.

He was left on his own despite his numerous plea for help.

In one of his old interviews, Kohwe warned Ghanaians not to wait for him to die before coming out with accolades to honour his memory.

Kowhe pleaded for support from Ghanaians to help him whilst he’s alive since whatever they would do or say after he was dead won’t bring him back to life.

“Don’t wait for me to die, before you pay glowing tribute to me for my wonderful contribution, your tribute will be meaningless because it will not bring me back to life,” he cautioned.
