Rev Fr Kwofie to launch ‘You know me Lord’ album tomorrow at St John Fisher Catholic in Accra

A Catholic priest of the Archdioces of Accra, Reverend Father Emmanuel Kwofie is set to launch an album dubbed: ” You know me Lord” on Sunday February, 28.

The launch will take place at Saint John Fisher Catholic Church, New Achimota at exactly 10:30am during the third Mass Service at the Church.

Speaking to Spot On News in Accra on Friday, Rev Fr Kwofie explained that “You know me Lord” is his maiden album and it is made up of eight holy ghost filled songs.

The album which is made up of choral songs, he said gained its inspiration from Psalm 139.

“This Psalm talks about the omniscience of God and his ever abiding presence with us. How the Lord who knit us together in our in most being knows our every move and for that matter we cannot hide from him.

He knows our thoughts and is ever ready to lead us to accomplish the task and purpose he has for us if we will submit to his laws and decrees,” Rev Fr Kwofie explained.

He said he made a beautiful melody out of the Psalm as a form of evangelism to draw people closer to God.

“The album is made up of 8 tracks which are all choral songs. They inspire and motivate to come to the realisation of the love of God,” Rev Fr Kwofie added.

He urged all Catholic and non Catholic members to support him and represent in their numbers for him to launch the album tomorrow.

About Rev Fr Kwofie

He was ordained on the August, 26, 2017 at the Holy Spirit Cathedral. He worked at St. Dominic Savio Parish from November 2017- September 2020.

Rev Fr Kwofie is currently the Parochial Vicar of the Ss.Thomas More and John Fisher Catholic Church, Achimota.

He began learning to play the piano in 1998. As a little boy, he played at his church, Saint Joseph the Worker, Corpus Christi Parish and also for the Pope John SHS and Major Seminary choirs during High School and Formative Days as a Priest.

Love & Passion for Choral music

His love and passion for choral music couple with the fact of uplifting the hearts and minds of others through music has been the driving force for the album.

“I must confess, it has always been back and forth with this album.

Pastoral duties made it difficult for me to have a deeper reflection to come out with this album.

The outbreak of Coronavirus (COVID-19) in the country, especially the lockdown afforded me tha opportunity to realise this dream of mine,” Rev Fr Kwofie added.

Covid, even though not pleasant, a situation, the father said brought  a blessing in disguise for him.

“A dream I had always pursued for the past 23 years of music ministry,” he added.
