Lots of musicians treat musical fans as ‘Prisoners’—Kofi Kinaata

Fante rapper cum singer, Kofi Kinaata has called on musicians to compose songs which would make an impact in the lives of music lovers.

According to him, the industry is bombarded with lots of musical crafts, stressing that one has to be creative to leave something worthwhile in the minds of music listeners.

Speaking in a media interview in Accra on Saturday, the confession hit maker indicated that music listeners were not prisoners to be imprisoned by lyrics of certain songs.

He noted that most musicians were treating musical fans as captives and advised them to stop.

Explaining why his lyrical content create change in the industry, Kofi Kinaata stated that he always compose songs with listeners in mind.

He said he makes sure to trigger change in those who listen to his music for them to listen to his songs over and over.

” I don’t treat music lovers as prisoners and I always put myself in the shoes of the listeners before I compose songs.

Now everyone is a musician, even if you look at talented kids all the children who come have musical talent so I make sure the songs I compose become unique in the industry to serve as an incentive for people to replay my song,” he added.

Plans, Kofi Kinaata said were far advanced to release his new single of the year.

He revealed that they were still shooting video for the song and urged fans to keep their fingers crossed.
