Minazy Yaazo indicated that “Dangme Time” was put together to break the language barriers in music for Ghanaians to have varieties.
“I feel I’m here to contribute and push Dangme music forward. We have a lot to fight for and break barriers in our Dangme music. It is not about me, there is a lot to be done to push Dangme music,” he said.
Touching on why he wanted to be described as a Dangme musician, the “Yo Ngor” hitmaker said he came at a time which Dangme music was downplayed, thus wanted to ignite the enthusiasm in Dangme music for it to compete effectively with the Akan, Ga, English and the Patois language music which were currently dominating the industry.
“This EP is not about Minazy Yaazo but rather about me adding up to make sure we put Dangme language out there,” he added.
The six EP album has title tracks namely Alee no, Level, Ohia, Bintu, Baby and Sika be which is available on all streaming sites.
Minazy Yaazo charged fans and Ghanaians to patronise his craft in fuelling his course of breaking barriers and projecting Dangme language to people across the globe.
