Our children are fragile, we need respect— Kylie Padilla on her divorce with Aljur Abrenica
Filipina actress Kylie Padilla has appealed for respect following her separation from her husband who is also an actor, Aljur Abrenica after two and half years of marriage.
According to her, the family is affected by the incident, hence her appeal for the public to respect her family especially her two children, Alas and Axl.

Speaking in an interview with the media, Kylie Padilla urged the public to respect their decision and support them in those trying times.
“Every family goes through a lot of challenges and sometimes we think that it is only the couple that goes through the ordeal. We forget the kids and people that are involved,” she said.
Kylie Padilla explained that although she and Aljur Abrenica were affected by the breakup they were on the “process of recovering, healing, and moving on” after parting ways in February.

She revealed that Aljur has pledged his commitment in working on a co-parenting set-up for their two sons.
“All we need right now is respect—first and foremost on the decisions we have made as a family and respect for each and every member of our family—to Aljur who is the father of my two wonderful boys, most especially to Alas and Axl who are at this point very fragile, and to our families from both sides who have guided us along the way,” Kylie Padilla added.
The actress indicated that she and Aljur were working on a “healthy co-parenting relationship.”
“We pray and hope that we will become better persons through this experience and will bring out the best in all of us. Thank you for your love and support,” she said.

The couple married in December 2018 after two years and some few months of marriage news broke out after her father, actor Robin Padilla, shared that his daughter and Aljur have split.
Robin divulged it on the YouTube vlog of talent manager/comedian Ogie Diaz.
Meanwhile, Aljur Abrenica marked the International Women’s Day with a commendation to his wife amid separation that hounded the couple since last February.
Aljur Abrenica called his ex-wife “queen” in an Instagram post with a series of his wife’s photos.
In one of the photos, Kylie Padilla was also seen wearing her wedding ring.
“Many faces of our Queen,” the actor said in the caption.
