President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has condemned the recent political violence between the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and National Democratic Congress (NDC) factions in the Odododiodio Constituency in the Greater Accra Region.
He urged the youth in the community not to allow themselves to be used to perpetrate violence ahead of the upcoming general elections.
The President said this on Wednesday at a durbar in the Constituency as part of his four-day tour of the Greater Accra Region.
Supporters of the two major parties clashed at JamesTown last Sunday during a float in the area.

President Akufo-Addo reprimanded perpetrators of the violence and indicated that violence should not become part of the society.
“People cause confusion when they have nothing good to offer,” he said and urged the youth to conduct political activities in a peaceful atmosphere
President Akufo-Addo also visited Abossey Okai spareparts dealers area, the Central Business District of Accra, and Tiptoe Lane near the Kwame Nkrumah Interchange and interacted with some traders.
