Reciprocate our support to boost the movie industry— Lydia Forson to musicians

Sultry actress, Lydia Forson has called on musicians to reciprocate the support movie stars give them in the promotion of their songs to also promote the indigenous movies in boosting the country’s creative art industry.

She said actors and actresses always promote the indigenous music which same could not be said by the country’s musicians.

Lydia Forson stressed an urgent need for artistes to also showcase their movies on their respective social media walls to their fans and audiences.

Making the appeal on Twitter, the beautiful actress said she put in much effort to always streamline and promote the local music to her audience through any platform available for her.

“I’m very intentional about promoting Ghanaian music; I don’t always get it right but I try. When I make reels, a Ghanaian song is always my first choice, before others,” she said.

Lydia Forson indicated that for the country’s creative art to develop, there should be a conscious effort by the key players to help hand in hand to promote eachother’s work in reaching larger audience.

“But errr I want y’all to give the same support to our movie industry dammit,” she added.

Lydia Forson is a multiple award winning actress, writer, and producer. In 2010 she won the African Movie Academy Award for Best Actress in a Leading Role.

She has stared in many movies including Perfect Picture, A Letter From Adam, A sting in a tale, Keteke, Different Shades of Blue and Borga.
