Self acclaimed King of Reggae/Dancehall music, Charles Nii Armah Mensah known in showbiz circles as Shatta Wale has rendered an unqualified apology to the Ghana Police Service (GPS) for allegedly flouting rules at a stakeholders meeting.
The controversial musician, according to report attempted to use his smartphones for filming, leading to a disruption at the police and creative art stakeholders encounter in held in Accra last Wednesday.
Attendees explained that as a ground rule for the event no cameras were to be used in filming but Shatta Wale disobeyed ruled which led him to apologise for his action.
He also appealed to the service not to take immediate action on creative art stakeholders, adding that their antics were meant to entertain not to deliberately break the laws of the country.
Meanwhile, photos published via the official Facebook page of GPS confirming the apology, showed the popular dancehall artiste, kneeling before the Inspector General of Police (IGP), George Dampare and other authorities with a microphone in his hand talking.
