Tecno renews brand contract with Stonebwoy

A mobile phone brand in the country, Tecno Mobile,  has renewed its contract with the multi-award winning Reggae-dancehall artiste, Stonebwoy after their contract elapsed early this year.

The artiste, last year September became the official brand ambassador for the company’s flagship product dubbed; “Camon series.”

He became the face of Camon 16 after Nigerian art Wizkid who first bagged the Camon 15 contract.

Speaking at the contract renewal ceremony held recently in Accra, the General Manager in charge of Business at TECNO Ghana, Mr Daniel Glover, acknowledged that Stonebwoy’s presence in the mobile industry has chalked success for the brand.

‘’The Ghana office of the Chinese mobile phone manufacturer company has seen a maximum increase in sales since signing Stonebwoy and for that reason, we are more than excited to run another business term with him,” he said.

Mr Glover noted that  Stonebwoy has a great social media presence and has been able to achieve his goal as a prolific ambassador to the brand.

In addition he said, the “1Gad” hitmaker helped raised the brand’s awareness to national and global audiences, thus increased the sale and attracted new customers to transact business with Tecno.

Touching on how Stonebwoy campaigned for the brand, Mr Glover stated that the artiste appeared in advertisement campaigns across print and digital media and attended promotional events which encouraged Ghanaians to buy the Camon 16 phones.

On his part, Stonebwoy promised to work tirelessly to chalk more success for the phone company and urged fans to keep patronising Tecno phones especially the Camon series.

The occasion was also used to mark the 33rd birthday of  the Chief Executive Officer of Burniton Music Group (BMG)  after he returned from a business trip to promote his art to the people of the United States of America (USA).

The team presented cake, champagne, drinks and other consumables to celebrate the artistes.

The bottle of champagne bears inscription “let’s do it again,” indicating how ready the company was to work again with the artiste.
