The Jostling for who is who in the Ghana Music Industry has begun as nominations for this year’s Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA) has been opened.

Various artistes who believe they deserve laurels for their exploits in the music scene last year would be filing their nomination to make case for themselves.

They would need the endorsement of their fan base through voting and attestation from the awards board and academy to get through the race.

2019 was an eventful year in the industry with “our songbirds” from new artistes to well grounded ones, dropping hits after hits that constantly kept music lovers in the dance mood.

The battle for supremacy on diverse music charts was fierce as songs toppled each other every week, only a few were able to sustain the hype.
