PoetTimmy has urged creative art stakeholders and the citizenry to patronise ‘Atmosphere of Laughter’

PoetTimmy has called on the citizenry to patronise “Atmosphere of Laughter,” a comedy show that would set Labone ablaze on March 28.

The event which would start at 6:00pm at the Mikado Conference Center would among other things afford patrons with a night full of comedy, poetry and music to usher them to the Easter celebration.

It is organised in collaboration with

According to organisers, tickets are sold for Ghc30 regular and Ghc50 VIP while some tickets are also available online for interested people who could not buy the tickets manually.

Speaking to in an interview yesterday in Accra, Tim the Poet, one of the industrial poets billed to perform at the event said the comic show would be an event that would shape the industry.

He stated that the  initiative was laudable as it would harness talents and provide better platform for people in the creative arts Industry to expose their talents to the world.

“I believe talent is creativity, and creativity is to be exposed. So with this growing platform, it will serve as avenue where arts can be experienced,” Tim said.

He noted that poetry as an artistic piece is hardly patronised by many and saw atmosphere of Laughter as an event that would help set minds on poetry.

Tim observed that entertainment was not limited to only music and dance, thus underscored the need for stakeholders to broaden the scope by investing in comedy and poetry.

“If only entertainment stakeholders would see Poetry and spoken word as a creative art, entertainment will be limitless. I wish for stakeholders to invest into this beautiful art poetry,” he added.

Poetry, Tim indicated is a beautiful art that needed attention to build the mind of writers and listeners spiritually, physically, emotionally and psychologically.

He however bemoaned that since the benefit of the art is not yet understood by majority of the citizens, they only gain gigs during weddings and birthday parties and stressed the need for change of attitudes towards the art.

“When someone is able to use the mind for good purpose, it needs all regards and public attention and this event would be an events of the brains as many arts have been crafted together to give patrons a night of joy and atmosphere of learning,” Tim said.
