Wildflower Synopsis and Plot Summary
The story of Wildflower follows the revenge of Lily Cruz (Maja Salvador), a beautiful and smart heiress whose world crumbles after her parents Dante Cruz (Christian Vazquez) and Camia Cruz, (Sunshine Cruz) journey to Poblacion Ardiente lead to their untimely death.
The Ardiente family is the most powerful political dynasty in the town under the rule of Congressman Julio Ardiente (Tirso Cruz III) and his daughter Emilia (Aiko Melendez), Governor of the province.
Emilia is married to businessman and known serial casanova Raul Torillo (Wendell Ramos) and they have two sons, Arnaldo (RK Bagatsing) and Diego (Joseph Marco).
Meanwhile, Lily’s mother, Camia, is a school teacher and her father, Dante is a public attorney.
Dante’s last case brings threats to their peaceful life in the city, so the Cruz family moves to the small town of Poblacion Ardiente, where they plan to set up a daycare for Camia and Dante’s own law firm.
However, their peaceful life was denied the moment Raul sets his eyes on Carmia and makes consistent attempt to rape her. This fuels the anger of Dante to file a case against him.
Not ready to stain her political image, Emilia conspires against the Cruz family to kill Dante and Carmia, leaving Lily orphaned.
Though she is targeted to be killed after witnessing her mother being raped, the assassins feel compassion for the 9 year old and free her instead.
Alone with nowhere to go, Lily fends for herself in another city where she also witnesses another rape attempt until a wealthy woman, Prianka Aguas (Priscilla Meirelles) rescues her from life in the streets.
Prianka legally adopts Lily and raises her to become tough and independent with the name Ivy Aguas. Prianka teaches Lily to think smart and equip her with the resources she needs to seek the truth about the Ardientes and justice for her parents.
When Prianka dies, Lily inherits her fortune. Lily returns to Poblacion Ardiente to avenge her parents with the guise of Ivy Aguas.
With her billion dollar conglomerate behind her, she becomes a magnet for the Ardientes who are preparing their political campaign for the gubernatorial and congressional elections.
A power struggle brews inside the Ardientes between Emilia and Arnaldo. Ivy becomes reacquainted with Diego, who turns out to be the bastard son of Raul.
But as Ivy continues with her plans to expose the Ardientes, she develops feelings for Diego, who renounces the Ardientes and decides to run for Governor as well.
Lily begins to execute her intricate plan to bring down the Ardientes. She ingratiates herself with Emilia as an avid campaign supporter for her political ambitions while gathering evidence to expose Emilia with plunder charges.
Lily then seduces Arnaldo while she pushes Julio Ardiente out of retirement to take him down completely.
As Lily succeeds in crippling the Ardientes’ power base by stripping Julio of his governorship, she fails in keeping Julio and Emilia behind bars.
Her plan backfires as a new and more formidable enemy “Red Dragon” who turns out to be Julio’s first wife and Emilia’s mother emerges from nowhere.
This leads to a dangerous war which Julio ultimately kills her. Julio prepares to take over Red Dragon’s money, power base and connections with the Asian crime syndicate.
Meanwhile, Arnaldo is back as well, gaining his mental capacity. He aligns himself with his grandfather and they focus on destroying Lily.
As Lily and Camia begin to pick up the pieces of their lives, Lily discovers that Arnaldo’s memories are back. Will she continue her vengeance? Her biggest challenge is to sustain the love in her heart to pave the way for forgiveness and justice.
Will Lily succeed?
