WizKid is the best thing that has happened to me in my music career— Fameye reveals

Highlife musician, Peter Bozah Fameye known by his stage name Fameye has revealed that the best thing that has happened to him in his career as a musician is for popular Nigerian artiste, WizKid to follow him on his social media platforms.

According to him, WizKid is no ordinary musician, stressing that he is an international artist who is not only renowned in Africa but worldwide.

Reacting to criticism raised against him after he celebrated WizKid for following him on a media interview today in Accra, Fameye stated that his happiness came from the fact that WizKid was his mentor.

He explained that the musician following him depicted that he has attained higher height in his career, hence his celebration.

“I don’t see that my fans will have a problem with me for expressing excitement for WizKid following me on Instagram. My fans are happy those who are making a farce about it are those who are not my fans,” Fameye added.

The “speed up” hit maker indicated that WizKid was worth celebrating and he would continue to celebrate him for supporting his career.

Recently, Fameye was subjected to public ridicule after he publicly jubilated over a Nigerian superstar, Wizkid  for following him on his Instagram page.

He took to his social media platforms to announce, expecting his fans to rejoice with him, but was mocked instead.

“OMG Babanla @wizkidayo followed on Instagram I don’t know what to do,” he posted.

But some of his followers believed to be his fans wondered why the “Nothing I Get” hitmaker seem excited to be followed by an artiste from a different country.

Defending his reasons, Fameye vehemently insisted that Wizkid’s action was a sign he was being appreciated by fellow musicians from other countries.

He also revealed that there were lots of interaction backstage with WizKid, hence some people would not understand, adding that he knew what the following meant to him.
