My Father’s failure in the industry strengthened my music— Kuami Eugene
Highlife rock star, Kuami Eugene has disclosed that his father, Alex Marfo was a legendary musician who failed in the industry and preached against him choosing music as career.
According to him, his father’s words are now making sense to him even though he did not support his career due to bad experiences he had when he was pursuing music.

As part of recognition marking Father’s Day Celebration on Sunday June 20, the “Wish me well” hitmaker, revealed to fans that his father was a musician who “did not make it in that area” and did not wish any of his children to pursue something which he failed in.
Kuami Eugene said his passion in music grew thus did not want to abandon his talent and went ahead to pursue his passion by learning the mistakes of his father which he said empowered him and stregthened his music.
According to the Lynx Entertainment signee, his father barred him from doing music since he failed but learning from his mistakes brought him to where he is today.

He further stated that “there was a need to protect me from going to that area too,” adding that “for all I have and will ever achieve is for both of us.”
Kuami Eugene as part of the celebration shared his father’s photo for the first time on instagram and captioned:
Happy Father’s Day to the legend Mr Alex Marfo. I get why you didn’t want me to do music. Because you didn’t make it in that area, there was a need to protect me from going to that area too. Buh thank God learning from you helped me correct all the mistakes you made. Live long Daddy, for all I have and will ever achieve, is for both of us. The Original RockStar.”
