PhD syndrome: Sonnie Badu calls critics frogs for questioning the authenticity of his certificates
Gospel musician, Sonnie Badu, has chided Ghanaians who are criticising the authenticity of his Doctorate and other two degree certificates which he acquired within the period of four months.
The popular musician who has now earned the title “Doctor” after bagging a Doctorate in Musicology and two more degrees announced on his social media over the weekend that he had been awarded a Bachelor’s degree in Ministry and Master’s degree in Christian leadership at the Trinity International University (TIU).
“What an amazing day it has been. A second doctorate in the basket, Doctorate in Musicology, Master’s degree in Christian Leadership, Bachelor’s degree in Ministry. Thanks to @trinityiua who took their time to walk me through in spite of my busy schedule,” he said.
The news became unbelievable to many, some greeted it with mixed reactions especially the time frame he used in completing those courses.
They queried why a “man of God” was overly interested in gaining worldly recognition and the manner he gained within a period of four months.
Reacting to the critics, Sonnie Badu, who identified himself as a lion, indicated that it was fruitless for him to respond to those who were criticising him harshly and termed them as frogs.
“When they don’t understand the frequency of your grace and your hard work behind the scenes they bring their own PHD (pull him down). Lions Don’t Respond to Frogs,” he stated.
