Media Personality blames Unprofessionalism and Extortion for wife’s Death at Ridge Hospital
Media Personality who doubles as a Master of Ceremony (MC), Daniel Ofori Asante known in the industry as Mister KODA has threatened to expose the health practitioners at the Greater Accra Regional Hospital known as Ridge Hospital for the unprofessionalism which led to the demise of his wife, Theresa Boakye Dua Asante.
His action is backed by the quest to help expectant mothers and families not to lose their loved ones through labour as he experienced.
In a social media post on Friday to give an account on how he lost his beloved wife at Ridge hospital, KODA explained that Mrs. Asante was gone due to the porous healthcare system of the country.
“The very medical personnel trusted to protect her failed her when she needed them most,” he lamented.
KODA further accused the health practitioners of “a disappointing reality of Unprofessionalism, Manipulation, and Extortion.”
Mrs. Asante was in labour and was having elective Caesarean section at Ridge hospital which she died in the process.
KODA explained that the unprofessionalism exhibited by the health professionals led to the sudden demise of his wife on July 16, and promised to give detailed actions portrayed by the health practitioners that led to Mrs Asante’s death after her funeral ceremony.
“The trauma and psychological scars inflicted on our family are irreparable. Congratulations on making me a widower in my youth because you gambled with the life of the person I loved most.
This pain I bear every single day cannot simply be brushed aside. After I honor my wife today Friday 28th August, 2026 the full truth will be told,” he threatened.
KODA maintained that his wife’s only fault was to trust Ridge Hospital for a successful delivery, only for the nurses and doctors to rob their baby off the opportunity to be nurtured and nursed by his mother.
“Theresa’s only fault was being pregnant and placing her trust in Greater Accra Regional Hospital (Ridge Hospital) for a scheduled, elective Caesarean section.”
“Since the evening of July 16, 2026, I have lived in excruciating pain. I am still struggling to process the horrific ordeal my wife, our families and myself endured at Ridge Hospital. A nightmare that ultimately stole the life of a vibrant young mother whose only dream was to raise her newborn son,” he mourned.
Mrs. Asante was 31 years old who married in November 2024 and was working with the Ministry of Health.
She was laid to rest on Friday August 28, 2026 at the Kotobabi International Central Gospel Church (ICGC) and her Thanksgiving service is slated for Sunday August 30, 2026.
Theresa Boakye Dua Asante is survived by a husband, a son, her parents and a (one) sibling.
