Yaw Dabo commends the alleged UN award scammer for a well structured award innovation
Kumawood actor, Yaw Dabo has applauded the alleged United Nations (UN) Leadership Award scammer, Dr Kwame Owusu Fodjour for creating an exclusive awards scheme which in its actual sense bigger than most awards shows organised in the country.
According to him, the UN Leadership Award is a highly recognised award scheme than the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA) and other honourary awards.
Speaking in a media interview in Accra on Friday, the talented comic actor stated that due to the relevant nature of the awards some celebrities ditched the VGMA, which was organised on the same day with the alleged fake awards.
He observed that the multiple-award-winning rapper, Sarkodie did not attend the VGMA event but honoured the alleged fake UN Excellence Awards due to its International recognition and significant in the industry.
“The UN Award is huge and bigger than VGMA. You see Sarkodie did not attend the VGMA but chose the UN award over the music award,” Yaw Dabo added.
He indicated that people who were trolling the celebrities on social media were not acting right, stressing that the UN award was much more Excellent and worth it than the other awards.
To Yaw Dabo, the award is well structured, planned and executed in the best way to recognise the achievement of celebrities in the country, thus the organiser deserved an applaud for it.
Dr Fodjour who has now earned the name Dr UN became popular after scamming a host of top Ghanaian celebrities and high profile personalities.
The award dubbed: “The 7th Global Leadership Service To Humanity” award was given out in recognition of the recipients’ contribution to humanity development.
According to a man who blew the whistle, the UN Kofi Annan gold awards was allegedly organised by a known fraudster, Dr Fodjour.
A twitter user by name Teacup who carried out an “exposé” about the awards and Dr Fodjuor revealed that the award is a sham and was carried out without the knowledge of the UN executives.
He said the award was not affiliated to Kofi Annan and the UN, thus urged the award recipients to do something about it as the honour was a sham.
Dr Fodjour, according to an earlier publication in the Ghanaian Times was arrested about 10 years ago for running a scam on rural banks following a similar award format.
