God recognises my effort if you fail to recognise it— Mama Esther slams award organisers

Ace gospel musician, Esther Boakye, known in the showbiz circles as Mama Esther has slammed award organisers for not recognising her music after releasing consistent hits over the past years in the industry.

According to her, heavens recognises her efforts even if event and awards organisers fail to recognise them.

Speaking in an interview with the media in Accra over the weekend, the legendary multi-gospel hitmaker noted that she had been nominated several times for songs she thought she would have won awards for but at the end the awards swerve to her competitors.

“There was a time I was even asked by a certain gate man my purpose at an event which I was nominated for an award, surprisingly the award was given to someone else,” she bemoaned.

Mama Esther indicated that she only take consolation from the fact that her songs had shaped lives and transformed people.

Touching on why she was not being recognised as other gospel musicians were, She explained that perhaps her songs were not crafted to meet the demands of awards organisers.

“Heaven duly recognises my good job, maybe the award organisers don’t get what they want from my songs,” she added.

The “Nea aba bia” hit maker said she had no feud with musicians who win awards and expressed togetherness in the industry for gospel musicians to keep preaching the word of God through their music.

She reiterated the need for gospel musicians to sing motivational songs to win souls to God, adding that she feels satisfied and happy for inspiring others through her music.

“Yes, I can sing all my tracks , I feel so enthused for inspiring others through my music , some of the gospel artistes call me “Mame Panyin” as in old mother”, she added.
