American producers are after me for collaboration—- KiDi
Multi-award winning musician, KiDi has hint on a foreign collaboration with a top notch American musician after the release of “Touch It” remix with Tyga.
According to the Lynx Entertainment signee, an American producer whose name he did not reveal but produced magical works for Snoop Dog, Kendrick Lamar, Jay Cole among others, has shown interest in having some recording deal and collaboration with him.
Speaking in an interview with the media in Accra on Thursday, KiDi was hopeful his interactions with the producer would open doors for more collaborations with American musicians.
He believed the move would equally put Ghana’s entertainment industry on the map and create avenues for cross-border collaborations for other local artistes.
“Last night, we got a message from a top producer in the USA after hearing the remix. He produces for Snoop Dog, Kendrick Lamar, Jay Cole and all of them. He saw the video, he went on my page to check out my other stuff and he messaged my team that when am I coming to LA. We need to work; so, this is an open door for collaborations with a lot of these superstars,” he noted.
The ‘Enjoyment’ hitmaker added: “That’s why I always keep saying we have to start from somewhere. It’s good to start than rather complain and not do anything about it…you won’t get anywhere.”
“I am happy this is happening. This doesn’t open doors for only me, it puts a spot light on Ghana as a whole, the whole industry and all the artistes who are striving hard.”
The “Touch It” remix video has received impressive views on YouTube ever since its release.
The audio has also been a favourite among music lovers and gained immense streams on all digital platforms.
