A Family Affair Episode 36 Drew is released from prison, Paco discovers he has a daughter with Cherry
Drew was released from prison and was led home by Paco. Nothing seemed to have changed in his eyes. He met the rest of his brothers and hugged them. Dave was getting better as he could now move his hands.
He believed in five years, he would be able to walk again. Drew promised to help him with his therapy now that he has returned. Seb took life seriously and began to rear cattle on the new land he acquired just to fulfil the wish of Colleen.

Drew had no doubts that his brother had missed his wife. Drew found Torre and went out with her. He was happy to see that Tore was able to graduate with flying colours.
Tori did not believe that he was even stalking her when he was imprisoned. She was sorry for her inability to visit him. The bills of Cherry and her aunt were shooting up so Ebs suggested she introduce Malaya to her father.
However, Cherry refused to accept it since her pains were still as fresh as new. Ebs did not understand why she would not reveal to Malaya her real father so she questioned her if Paco was truly the father of Malaya.
Tori was impressed that Drew was working on getting his life back. She asked how his brothers were doing and Drew said she would have to ask them by herself. She asked about Cherry and he said Paco did not even know where she was.
Unbeknownst, Paco was still searching for Cherry and had a lead. Ebs suggested to Cherry to get a place to do her selling but Cherry did not want to get a permanent place so that she would not be attached to the place. That, would make leaving the place become difficult.

Ebs did not like the idea that they keep packing out. That, made her feel like a fugitive. Mia, a reporter visited the Estrella for an interview and took a shot of the four brothers. She queried them about the ranch and Paco explained that it was nothing new but it was just an expansion of the old.
Ebs was watching the interview on her phone and the Estrellas had established a livelihood centre, a school centre and foundation and were even building a health facility. Malaya saw Paco and she described him as handsome.
Cherry overheard her daughter calling someone handsome and showed up to ask her who was that. She said she saw a man named Estrella. Ebs explained that he was in the news and Malaya happened to see him.
Malaya asked if Cherry knew the man and she said she did not. Malaya said the man’s family name Estrella was nicer than their name Magwayen. Paco did not hesitate. He went to Cherry’s place and found a six year old girl playing and Cherry arrived with a doll for the girl. The girl addressed her “Mama.”
That made Paco sob and went there again. This time around, he revealed himself to the girl. Though, her mother had warned her not to talk to strangers, Malaya happened to know him and even called him Estrella. Paco thought her mother told her about him and she said she rather saw him on Grandma Ebs’ phone.
Since he was rich, Malaya demanded money and Ebs came to meet them. She was startled seeing Paco but decided to have a private talk with him outside the house. Paco asked if Malaya was his daughter and Ebs told him to ask Cherry.
After their chat, they reached an agreement that Ebs would help him to cater for his daughter and in return, he wouldn’t lie again. Due to hardship, struggles and side jobs Cherry had been doing to raise money for the family, Ebs helped Paco but she made it clear that Cherry was afraid to introduce Malaya to him since he might take the custody of her daughter.
Paco promised not to do that. He went home to tell Seb that he had a daughter with Cherry. He was sad that due to what happened, he did not only lose his wife but the chance to be a father to his daughter. Seb admitted that what they did to Cherry was horrible.

Paco asked him if he had forgiven Cherry and he said yes so he could bring her home. The child was cute like Cherry when she was young. Cherry prepared to set up an eatery with Maga and promised not to destroy the trust she put in her.
As she was leaving, she bumped into Paco and she recalled everything that Paco did in making her feel like a mâd person. She rushed home to pack out but Ebs did not allow her to. She did not understand why she kept running out due to Paco.
She advised her to have the courage to face him. She even revealed that Paco was there this afternoon so she should rather face him and stop moving out. Paco showed up and Ebs tried stopping him, Cherry appeared and had a talk with him, revealing that Malaya was his daughter.
Paco wanted to make up for her and her daughter by being a father to his daughter. He wanted them to be together for the sake of their daughter but Cherry denied him that opportunity to return to his family. She did not want to get close to a family of murderers. She did not trust him and threatened to k!ll him, if he dared get close to her daughter.
She made it clear that they did not need him in their lives. The Magwayens went to hospital appointments and Paco stood far off to watch them. One day, Malaya asked her mother if she had a father and wanted to meet him.
Cherry promised to make her see her father some day. Ebs, later talked to Cherry to make her daughter know her father because she would keep asking. Cherry said she would not because the family did not have to lie and kept the secret. She said the family did not have to be blood related just like her and Ebs.
Ebs said she was keeping secrets from her daughter. Paco and his brothers agreed to sell the Estrella mansion to get rid of the memories they were tied to. That, evening, Paco was feeling lonely and called Seb who had decided to work on a night shift.
Seb encouraged him not to allow Cherry to slip away now that he had a daughter with her. He worked on the advice and went to Cherry’s place the next day to find her leaving. He went to the bus terminal. Cherry made Ebs and Malaya enter the bus while she talked with Paco.
Paco pleaded with her not to leave and also wanted to be a father to his daughter. Cherry said Malaya would get confused as she did not know about him. Besides, she was not ready to let him know her. She left and when the bus sped off, she wept, making Malaya asked her why she was crying.
She deduced that Cherry was crying because of her friend and told her she should have made her friend join them in their trip. However, Cherry said it was impossible to do that.
