Betrayal (Halik) Episode 102 Mauro gets arrested for murder
Still in the court with Lino in box narrating the incidents that led to his adultery charges against the accused. Ace lawyer asks Lino: “Can you share your views regarding marriage Mr Bartolome?”
“Objection! irrelevant your honour!
We wish to enlighten everyone here that my client is incapable of cheating.”
The judge overruled it so Lino explained that marriage is a testament of commitment and it is a prove that you and your spouse will be together, the feeling he said it is not forced. He recalled his moment with Jade while sobbing.
Jade also shed tears while Lino claimed he never cheated on her. He said things were different now, and things could have been stronger and swore that he never betrayed her and if she had not done what she did they would not be humiliated in court.
Lino forced Jade to admit the truth, Jade blamed Lino and called him a liar so she was sent out by the judge due to her outburst. Marissa advised her that they should leave but she said she lost control and would stay outside the court premise.
Mauro went to Aliyah’s place after Aliyah called him to meet her. Ace came out to scold Jade and asked whether it was part of her plan.
Lino came out and Jade rushed to slap him, Lino told her that she did not deserve to be CJ’s mother. Elsewhere, Mauro saw Aliyah and she pointed a gun on him. She said she would do to him what he did to her father and Jacky’s mother.
He told Aliyah to leave Jacky out of it, she asked whether Mauro spared the life of Jacky’s real father when he begged for his life.
“What if I tell you that I have one more secret, that Loida did not really kill herself.” At that time, Jacky has reached, she has alighted from the car and was standing at the back of Mauro. Mauro told her that she had no proof. Aliyah said she wouldn’t have been there if she had no prove.
A man came out and said he could not keep the secret any longer since his conscience wouldn’t let him.
A flashback showed that as Loida was arguing with Mauro that she would not stay with Mauro and would rather die before ending up with him, the gun which was in Mauro’s hand accidentally pulled in the midst of the argument and the man saw it when he was bringing Mauro’s bag.
Mauro said it was all an accident and he only fought for what is his. Aliyah asked how could he soundly sleep when he was a murderer who killed her father, Jacky’s father and her helpless mother.
Mauro pulled a fast one on Aliyah and took the gun, pointing it back on Aliyah Jacky who was shocked to listen to the revelation shouted on her father to stop.
Mauro then turned and stopped what he intended to do. He followed her to explain that he l*ved Loida. Jacky tried to rush inside her car. Mauro held her back and she slapped him, saying she would never call a man who murdered both her parents father. She swore to make him pay for his crimes.
She then left and Aliyah also left. Paeng on the other hand warned Ace to control his woman as she would make him lose the case after what happened.
Paeng said he was saying he was using Jade against Lino but his plans would backfire. Ace said he had a backup plan in case he lose the case.
Jacky went home and destroyed things calling Mauro a monster.
Tat asked the family what happened at the hearing, Fe said they had practically won the case since Lino’s testimony had the whole court room cried.
Jacky cried while sleeping, Mauro called her several times but she failed to pick so he went to Jacky’s condo to visit her. The guard did not allow him in since Jacky had already instructed him not to do so.
Meanwhile, Aliyah in soliloquy said she would leave everything to Jacky and she shouldn’t disappoint her. Jacky received a call from Lino and he asked whether he was bothering her.
Jacky who was hiding her actual feelings said she was okay. Lino then briefed her on the hearing, saying it went pretty well. Jacky said sorry for not being there and Lino said it was nothing. Jacky told him that he was a great father and made him promise to always l*ve CJ.
She then said bye to Lino as she tried to hide her tears and told him that she was doing a particular work and would get back to him later. Jade said sorry to Ace for not being able to control herself.
Ace said they should be able to run away when he gives the signal. Jade did not want them to be like fugitives and asked him why he was bent on eloping.
Ace said they should be frank with themselves since they were guilty of the crime levelled against them.
Jade stated that she knew but Ace and his family have the resources so he should invest the money into the case for them to win as he promised to help her. She tried squeezing out the truth from Ace since he was much interested in escaping. She asked if there was other problem that he had and wanted to hide from her.
Ace said there was nothing. However, Paeng advised Helen to get rid of Jade for Ace to be free. Helen said she did her best to get rid of the pest but her plans failed.
She said her next move would rather benefit Lino for him to be with CJ but Paeng said it wouldn’t since Lino would be a suspect should anything happened to Jade and it would be a win win for them.
Jacky told her friends about Mauro’s Crimes and Ken asked whether Lino knew but she said he didn’t. Jacky explained that Lino had lots of problems and didn’t want to add up.
He asked Ken to promise to put Mauro behind bars. Paeng met with his goon who told him that Aliyah was alive and a doctor helped her out. He said unfortunately, the doctor left the country.
Paeng told the goon that if he was able to bring Aliyah to him he would double the money for him.
Unknown to them, Aliyah had employed someone to keep her posted on the adultery case. The informant said the prosecution had strong evidence against Ace and Jade and pretty soon Ace would be imprisoned. Aliyah charged the person to still follow the case to its tail and paid him.
Aliyah was so glad to be alive to witness the three nemesis of her go down. Ace while bathing recalled his deeds and still did not believe that Aliyah was alive.
Jacky spoke to Ken and he said he was on his way to file the charges. She went out and found Mauro there. He said he wanted Jacky to hear him out. He brandished a gun and the guard tried to defend her.
Jacky told the guard to wait, Mauro stated that he would not be able to do what Aliyah accused him of. He said he could not kill Loida in fact the gun was the gun Loida wanted to use to commit suicide.
He said he stopped Loida from her plans but was so selfish to allow her leave when she wanted to go. He said they struggled with the gun and the bullet mistakenly triggered. He admitted killing Robert Oliver, Jacky’s real father for trying to steal his woman.
He handed the gun over to Jacky and asked her to use it to kill him. Jacky said she was not a murderer but wanted him to rot in jail and live with the guilt of killing both her parents.
Meanwhile, the attorney of Lino trained Baste to talk in the witness stand for their next hearing. Barry wondered why Ken was not with the attorney and the later explained that Ken had a last minute issue to deal with so he called him that he would not be able to come with him.
Barry seemed not convinced. Mauro went to the police station to hand himself over to the police while he was accompanied by Jacky. Jacky cried and embraced Ken who was already at the station.
Mauro was arrested and had a right to remain silent and to also get a lawyer. He said Robert Oliver and Ben Seropon’s death were committed with the help of his former business partner, Rafael Paeng Corpuz.
