Betrayal (Halik) Episode 28 Jade gets maltreated by Ace Parent over Ace’s accident
“Jade put yourself together Jade. You have to get your story straight or else both of you will get caught!”
Jade gets terrified seeing Ace lying helplessly on the floor, Ace had fainted. She cried for help, later she got assistance as health team arrived at the crime scene to send Ace to hospital in an ambulance.
Jade kept crying that Ace should hang on. She knew the kind of trouble she has gotten herself into. Her greatest fear was for her dark secret to be exposed to light.
Jacky had a strange feelings so she tried Ace’s line but he did not answer. Ken asked her not to be paranoid since Ace was doing fine.
He further stated that Ace might have gone wasted with his friends thus was the reason he was not picking the calls.
Paeng confronted Gio for running a business which was not profitable. He said he should learn from his senior brother Ace and join their family business but Gio would not accept.
Jade was queried by the police about the incident since she was an eyewitness. She said she did not know Ace and could not identify the man who stabbed Ace. She got frigtened as she kept contradicting herself in answering the questions.
She then ran from the police into the washroom acting like she was shocked by the incident and could not talk. She cried while she washed her hand which was soaked in blood.
“Jade what did you get yourself into? Why did you do this Jade?
Jade put yourself together Jade. You have to get your story straight or else both of you will get caught!” She said in soliloquy while she watched her face in the washroom mirror.
Meanwhile, Jacky and her friends got drunk and she was still worried about Ace. She charged her phone while Chari and Ken slept on their bed.
At home, Helen told Paeng that he was being harsh on Gio besides he was working hard to prove himself to him.
She asked Paeng to be thankful that Gio was not following the footsteps of Ace. Paeng interjected that their business was expanding and Gio needed to work with them instead of relying on the peanut he made from his burger business, adding that he did not care if Gio’s business made him feel happy and was not ready to have a son who sold burgers and sandwiches for a living.
Helen received a call from the hospital that Ace had been admitted. Helen at the hospital questioned Jade about why Ace was stabbed and Jade answered that Ace saved her from someone who forced himself on her.
Helen wondered why Ace would just save someone he did not know. Gio got there and asked of how Ace was doing.
They went to the ward of Ace and Helen met Jade with Ace.
“This is a private family matter do you mind stepping out?” Helen threw Jade out.
Helen called Jacky to get to Manila as soon as possible, stressing that Ace was stabbed.
Jacky woke her friends up and told them about the unfortunate news. She said they had to leave right away.
Helen later bumped into Jade again at the hospital and asked her why she was still there. Jade said she wanted to thank Ace for saving her. Paeng arrived in the scene and Helen told him that he should meet Jade the woman who Ace saved.
“It is amazing that our son was a hero. He put his life for someone he didn’t even know,” Helen acted suspiciously.
“But anyway thank you so much for bringing Ace to the hospital.”
As Helen was leaving with Paeng she asked of her name and she said she was Jade Flores.
They went to Ace’s ward and Helen told the police that they would inform them once Ace’s regain consciousness. The police then took their leave.
As Lino and his family were packing their luggages into their bus with Maggie complaining that their trip was short, they saw Jacky in a rush getting to her car together with her friends.
They called her when she was passing by them but Jacky did not respond. Jacky got behind her steer but the car would not start.
Lino and Dolor got closer to her when a mechanic was trying to check the fault. They asked her what was wrong.
She informed them that Ace was stabbed and needed to get to the hospital right away.
Lino offered to ride her there since they were already leaving.
“Good job just a little more time and Dos Disanyo will be gone forever!” Mauro said after watching his laptop.
Mauro called Paeng in order to relay to him the information about his dubious plans to get Dos Disanyo out of the way but Paeng spilt the bad news to him.
Mauro wondered why Jacky had not informed him about it and Paeng indicated that Jacky was not even there.
Jacky arrived at the hospital and Lino offered to go in with her. She refused but Lino eventually followed her.
Jade was about to knock on the door of Ace’s ward when Helen opened the gate. She asked what she wanted and she said she wanted to thank Ace.
Helen asked her to leave since Ace’s wife was on her way there and did not want her to get the wrong impression.
Jade cried and went to sit somewhere in the hospital still sobbing. Lino then got there and saw her crying. He called out her name. Seeing Lino, she suddenly ran to embrace him.
Lino asked why her dress was stained with blood and she said she was attacked last night and the man who helped her from not getting raped got stabbed.
Mauro also got to the clinic and Lino saw him but did not reveal himself for Mauro to see him. He then went home with Jade, seeing how traumatised she was.
Ace regained consciousness and Jacky asked him how he got stabbed. Helen interjected that Ace got stabbed while saving a woman who was about to be raped.
Jade joined Lino in his car and Dolor told her that she should report the culprit. Jacky wanted to meet the woman in question but Paeng asked why she wanted to meet her.
She said she wanted to meet that woman in order for her to reveal the identity of the person who stabbed Ace to the police.
Lino brought Jade home and she revealed to him that the man who saved her life was Ace, his ex-girlfriend’s husband.
Lino said he once met Ace at Jade’s office and asked her whether she already knew him and she denied knowing him.
He asked whether Ace was tailing her but she wondered why Lino was now thinking Ace was the bad guy.
She then asked him what he was doing at the hospital and he said he sent Jacky there. He tried explaining things but Jade said she had already called off their relationship so he did not have any reason to explain things to her.
Jade later spoke with Marissa that she would be in her house the next day to stay there. She confessed that she was feeling uneasy staying at Lino’s house she then pleaded with Marissa not to reveal anything about her relationship with Ace to anyone.
She said she wondered how Lino would act if he found out.
