Albert and his group faced the wrath of Arturo and Hipolito. They threatened to get Albert suspended for his inability to capture Cardo. They also claimed Albert had disgraced the government so his promotion would not be guaranteed since the target had fled and the civilians were deàd.
Hipolito failed to regard what happened to the civilians as a collateral damage because the police actually shõt the civilians and the civilians would appear as victims and had his own plans to clean the mess for the government’s reputation to be restored.
Lily was holding a secret press conference and she was capitalizing on the shōõt out that transpired in the hotel that led to the deàth of many civilians.
She was using a victim who lost a family during the shōõt out to make the public feel that she was sympathizing with them in her attempt to win their hearts and vote. Hipolito entered in with Arturo and the Black ops to steal Lily’s spotlight.
He explained to the victims and the media that the Black Ops did their best to capture Cardo Dalisay but Cardo and the former Taskforce shõt the civilians. Albert indicated that there was only one who survived and that was Don Ignacio Guillermo but he was also in a critical condition.
Hipolito on behalf of the government promised to intensify the search for Cardo till he was captured. Mariano who was also addressing the public also chipped in with a full swarg that he would ensure to destroy Cardo as a president.
The manner he talked exposed him, leading Lily and Hipolito to eye him. Oscar heard the press conference speech on a radio in someone’s car and was hurt that he came close to Cardo but couldn’t talk to him. He wondered where they could find Cardo now.
Ambo and Elizabeth advised that they leave right away before they were caught. Hipolito warned Lily to leave the North and confronted her for holding a press conference without informing them. Hipolito told her that he knew what she was doing but she should leave because he had to stay and clean the mess and as his former job as a National Defense Agency Director, he would do it well.
Lily refused to go and said wherever the President would go, that was where she as the first lady would go. Mariano went into the room with Cassandra to make løve. Ellen came to meet it but she kept herself in the dark. Arturo also saw them but Roena came to call Mariano to go and eat.
Mariano found his guard’s timing as wrong. As they left, Padua viewed his wife and said in his head that it served her right because the man she cheated on him with was also cheating on her with another woman. He knew his wife might have regretted choosing Mariano over him.
He recalled how he broke the news about his appointment as the Executive Secretary to the President and his wife and family were happy. Lily told Augustus to intensify the search for Oscar. Augustus believed that the President didn’t head to the North but Lily got upset. She was sure Oscar might even be with Cardo as they spoke and urged him to intensify the search.
Albert met up with Hipolito and Padua in a meeting. Hipolito wanted them to exhaust all opportunities in finding Cardo and he also wanted him alive. Albert said the black ops had already erected checkpoints at all exit and entry points. Hipolito saw that as a good start. He wanted them to capture Cardo and warned that he wanted a result.
When he left, Arturo warned the Black Ops to check their utterances whenever they were speaking with Hipolito, reminding them of their crime of k!lling Jacob. He said Renato was like a wild dog, he could sense things from afar. Albert said his concentration was on finding Cardo and would never talk about Jacob.
Lily met up with Lito and told him that Don Ignacio was in a critical condition. She charged Lito to find the business partners of Don Ignacio so that if the unfortunate happened and the man lost his life, they would take over his territory. Lito promised to deliver. He was also not willing to leave the North until he had captured Dalisay.
Oscar planned to go to where he grew up from and led his servants to the place. Ellen called Mariano when he was eating with Cassandra but Mariano showed the call to Cassandra and ended it, telling Cassandra that the moment was only for her and would not make Ellen steal her moment.
Ellen got upset and planned to punish Mariano when he went to Manila. She never left her luxurious life for Mariano to treat her that way. She left the North. Soon, after, Lily confronted Mariano for saying what he said during the press conference. She warned him to have followed what she gave him to say not what she did not want.
Mariano claimed he was the president and he would do what he pleased. Lily said they would be exposed, if he failed to follow orders. Albert told his group that they would not follow Hipolito’s orders to capture Cardo alive. He said he would k!ll Cardo so that the black ops gained the credit.
Lily manipulated Cassandra and led Mariano to leave the North with her to the palace. Hipolito heard of that and knew Lily was a step ahead and also had his plans to bring Lily down. Lito and Winston hit in town to find information about Don Ignacio’s partners from the local people.
He was also hellbent on finding Cardo. Lucia was very upset with Thalia over Don Ignacio’s critical condition and swore to k!ll Thalia, if the worst happened to Don Ignacio. Elsewhere, a woman by name Aurora entered her room with Flowers and on the light.
