Brothers- Ang Probinsyano Episode 697 Hipolito files for his candidacy as the President and Arturo is his Vice, Ellen woos Arturo in an attempt to be the second lady
Mara walked quickly out of the hospital for Aurora not to catch up with her. As Aurora was searching, Lucia rushed in to inform her that her father needed an urgent blood transfusion. She sent Aurora to the emergency room.
Don Ignacio needed AB blood and the hospital that they might get some of the plasma was two and half hours drive. Seeing her father’s critical state, Aurora decided to transfuse her blood for her father.
As she was transferring her blood for her father, she never knew there would be a day that she would extend her father’s life by transmitting her blood for him. She recalled how her father rejected Oscar and made her life miserable.
Albert was shocked to know the first lady was their protector. Lily promised to treat her better and what happened between them and Arturo would never repeat itself. As Albert left, he and his two allies were glad to have tied their clothes with the first lady. They believed that once Lily wins the elections, things would be much better for them.
They vowed to work hard to ensure Lily believed in them and did not regret seeing them as allies. Lily also told Lito to shower Albert and his allies with money and power for the group to act upon their orders.
Thalia called Albert and they decided to meet. Hipolito did a press conference to formally announce his intentions of running as the President and Executive Arturo Padua would be the vice.
Lily heard about it and planned to give them the battle they had been waiting for. Lito found it amusing that Hipolito was standing as the presidential candidate. He believed Renato would steal the country’s money.
Lily said she was also going to file for her candidacy on that very day for Renato not to mistake himself for winning. Lito promised to do anything to ensure the victory of Lily.
Hipolito assured the citizenry that as part of his mandate, he would ensure to get all those criminals at large behind bars most especially Cardo Dalisay and urged the public to vote for him and his VP Arturo. He said as long as Cardo was at large, the country was prone to danger and many lives would be wasted.
Ellen saw the press conference and was surprised to notice that her husband was now standing as the vice president. She had that regret look on her face. Albert was with his team at the office when Ms Gonzales came to the office and asked for a lead to get to Cardo.
Omar asked Patrick questions about his comrades most especially Cardo. Patrick said Cardo was like a senior brother who accepted him when his family d!ëd. Omar wanted to serve the group but Patrick took it upon himself to go for the food with Greco. As the cooks gave them the food, they stumbled on Armando instructing his group to go and find Mara as she was missing.
Greco and Espinosa came to inform Cardo and the group so Cardo decided to lend their help to Armando’s group. Delfin was against it since Cardo was still injured but Cardo went ahead with Ramil and Jerome. As Armando was leaving with his troupe, Cardo called him and offered to help them.
However, Armando declined his offer. Lolita said he was still injured and would be a liability. Before the group could reach the gate, they stumbled on Mara. Mara hugged her father and mother. Seeing Cardo, she lied that she came across a checkpoint so she had to get separated from Samuel and Lucas for the police not to follow them to the house to find the Taskforce.
Armando sent her in and in a private talk he asked exactly what happened and she narrated how the target called for backup which made her get separated from Samuel and Lucas. Mara understood Samuel and Lucas. Samuel apologised and Armando said his actions could not be forgiven because Mara was a great asset to their team.
Lily went to file for her candidacy and met face-to-face with Hipolito and Arturo. Hipolito said certain things that brought Mariano’s savage lifestyle and almost humiliated Lily. Lily alerted him and he quickly acted in shape before the reporters would see.
Ellen regretted her action of separating from her husband. She decided to support her husband in his campaign and believed that would make Arturo coiled back to her. Mariano sent Lily to the stage and made lots of promises to the public and Lily got happy with the cheering she was receiving as a mother who would give the citizenry all the assistance they might require.
After her speech, Hipolito and Arturo went to stand the stage again to promise a better Philippines which every Filipino would live Peacefully with law and orderliness in place. He pledged to wipe out all lawless acts and criminals including the most wanted one Cardo. Their slogan was “Philippines wake up, Philippines it’s time.”
Lily after filing interjected, reminding Hipolito of being one of the lawless people. Hipolito wearing a smile declared that it was proven that he was innocent of all the charges leveled against him and the president cleared his name. He kept reminding the citizenry that there were some ills in the current administration.
He said the president at a point relied on his expertise to make things work, making him the best candidate for the future of the Philippines. He said the steer should be given to him to ride the country better.
Lucas approached Nara to ask for her forgiveness and promised never to live behind again because he would not know what he would do without her. Ramil told Cardo about his hunch that Armando’s group would be up to something illegal and doubted that peasant farmers would get money to build such a mansion.
Cardo claimed that they were only fighting for their principles. They were fighting for the oppressed and revenging the bad treatment they passed through. Cardo indicated that Armando’s group would have been their enemies, if they were still in the police force.
Ellen went to congratulate Arturo in front of the public. And began calling him darling. Arturo walked out and Ellen followed him to tell him that she meant what she said and she was genuinely happy for him. Arturo warned her. Mariano got pissed off by Ellen’s act and was following her when Lily stopped him. She did not want him to ruin their reputation.
Cassandra was also upset with Mariano and she told him that Ellen had betrayed him for her husband. Hipolito warned Arturo not to believe in the snåkë he called a wife to fall for her lies. Cardo saw Mara and went to thank her for saving his life. She said she only acted on her father’s orders.
Cardo was still grateful to her because if it wasn’t for her, he and his comrades, most especially his grandpa would have d!ëd. Mara said if he was grateful, then he should rather leave the place because his presence in the mansion had put her and her family at risk.
Unbeknownst, Thalia was at the black Ops’ office describing her face as the person who helped Dalisay in kidnapping Don Ignacio. The one who sketched at the headquarters was drawing Mara’s face for easy identification.
Cardo then told Mara that once his comrades got better they would leave.
