Brothers- Ang Probinsyano Episode 716 Payeng gambles, Lily begins to concede defeat, Oscar makes promises to the people of San Andres, Eduardo k!pls Callaway
Payeng did not go fishing so he sought his grandparents permission to go and hangout with his friends. Nita did not want to allow him but Sebastian did. They advised him not to stay out for long only for Payeng to storm a gambling den to gamble.
He was stopped by an acquaintance who had been warned not to allow Payeng to go to the place. However, a friend’s intervention saved Payeng. He told his friend that he was highly in need of money that was the reason he was there.
Cassandra and Augustus read the public comments of the interview Mariano conducted after throwing a punch at Arturo. The people were inspired by him for defending his wife.
Lily praised Mariano for the job well done as he had made the public believe he actually løved her. Mariano claimed he did that for his løve Ellen and mummy’s girl Cassandra. The comrades of Cardo wondered what they said for Delfin to get pissed off.
A faction of the group also talked about Oscar. Diana couldn’t believe the president she knew was the one acting that way. That, reminded James of what Elizabeth saw concerning two presidents but the issue was she was drunk when she claimed to have seen that.
Cardo believed they would discover the truth, if they were able to capture the president. Oscar addressed the people of San Andres concerning the challenges they were facing with fishing due to the foreign vessels.
He said now he was far from the palace and had to secure means to help the people to survive in their current condition. Oscar said since those in power less cared about them, they had to look for an NGO which could train them on how to make sea shells accessories to export. Elizabeth added that they could even add rice cakes.
Oscar also proposed that they opened San Andres to a tourist site since there were beaches there. Ambo was worried since that would make him be discovered. Oscar said they needed a long term solution for the people and was sure by that time, they would no longer be there.
Delfin was viewing the place and Cardo joined him. Delfin wished they could be reunited with Flora. Cardo was worried if their issue would be over and if it did whether they would survive.
The people of San Andres asked what brought Oscar there. Oscar explained that Hipolito and Lily conspired to get rid of him to rule over the country, that was why he came there but would assume his position again.
The people of San Andres asked how he would be able to do that and he said he needed Cardo. The people protested since Cardo was a terrorist. Oscar explained that they were all lies the power hunters framed Cardo for.
Elizabeth and Ambo added their voices. Ambo even believed the people could help them locate Cardo since the Taskforce was also in the North. Oscar told the people to trust him that Cardo was innocent of what they accused him of.
Hipolito called his men who were on the lookout for Oscar, if they found him but no positive news yet. He did not want anything to get in his way of winning the presidential seat. He believed that the presence of Oscar was the only way to destroy his chance and wanted the president to be captured.
Mara now understood the purpose of Cardo’s group and realised that they were one way or the other fighting for her same cause. She planned to help Cardo to capture the president so that he could also help them eliminate Don Ignacio. She believed life left them no choice than to resolve into violence.
Don Ignacio equipped Eduardo with the necessary resources to carry out his mission against Lito. Lito was also planning to do his 20billion transaction with Mr Callaway in order to get money to deal with Don Ignacio.
Lily knew the debate would put her at a loss and so did the first fight scandal of Mariano. She now relied on Don Ignacio to win the vote from the North.
Payeng won the money when he gambled. As he was going home with the money, a man caused trouble with him. The man wanted his money but Payeng did not want to give him the money, that led to their fight. The barangay police intervened.
His family heard of what he had done but Oscar tried to calm them down so that they would hear Payeng’s side of the story. He arrived home and apologised for not listening to the stern warning of his grandparents not to gamble again. He explained that he overheard Nita and Sebastian talking about using all their savings so he wanted to gain money to support them.
Nita got sad and told him that he should not be the one to cater for the family, they should. Oscar felt sad that he had been a bother but Sebastian assured that there was no day that he thought about him as a bother.
Eduardo led Callaway to meet Lito. Lito chose a different venue, thinking that would make them safe. Callaway told Eduardo that he would follow all his orders but he should ensure to keep him alive. Eduardo accepted but set a bømb on Callaway so that he would tie him down.
Don Ignacio asked Lucia if his brother had come for the car. Lucia said Eduardo was already with Callaway. This excited Don Ignacio and he praised his brother. Lucia reminded him of Eduardo’s atrocities but Don Ignacio said his brother had proven himself.
He saved his daughter and even needed someone who would protect his beloved daughter and Eduardo was good for the job. Besides, Eduardo was his own blood brother. Lucia still warned him not to trust Eduardo because he might regret it. Don Ignacio warned her not to meddle and shouldn’t question his decisions.
Lucia went to tell Thalia to pray that Eduardo screwed up, otherwise, Don Ignacio might sack them. Thalia said Lucia would rather lose her job because she had proven to Don Ignacio her worth and would not be sacked.
Upon the orders of Eduardo, Callaway began the transaction with Lito at the new venue. He was using earpod so Eduardo was talking to him from the car. He demanded for the drügs and when he brought the money, he was looking so nervous.
Albert saw that and informed Lito. Lito asked Callaway if he was okay. Eduardo’s goons attacked Lito’s men and they fell off the roof which made Lito realise they were ambushed. They fought back and Eduardo quickly intervened and told his goons to go for the money and the drügs.
He realised Callaway was escaping so he detonated the bømb. Callaway d!éd at a spot. Lito and his allies were able to escape and he believed they were attacked by Don Ignacio. They used Callaway as bait to get to him.
Eduardo while leaving the place was asked by one of his goons if he would follow Lito. He refused to do so because he was not ready to d!é. He told his goons to learn from him, though he would not spare Lito in their next encounter. For now, they had to save their lives.
