As the Arevalos were locked up in their own home, Cardo arrived at the camp with Lia. He engaged Major Basco in a heated argument and fought him for locking up his in-laws who he considered as second parents.
After setting his in-laws free to introduce Lia to them as a person who k!lled Alyana, Lia suffered multiple slaps from Virgie. As Lito chose the easiest way out to reveal the hideout of Cardo to Hipolito and Jacob, Ramil also battled for his life and escaped the clutches of Lito to arrive at the camp to inform the Taskforce about the surprise attack Hipolito was about to launch on the group.

The group didn’t want to believe his tip off and Cardo then confessed that he sent Ramil to Lito’s camp for an undercover mission after Alyana’s death to unravel the person who revealed their location to the black ops.
After learning about the real nature of Lito, the Arevalos apologised to Cardo for blaming him harshly for the death of Alyana. Unfortunately, Hipolito and his goons launched a surprise attack on them, leading to the death of Mr Ramon. The group began to make a death wish after losing bullets and armour but their enemy’s forces were still strong.
Many of Cardo’s comrades including, Roxanne, Greco, Marshial, Dante and Delfin were fatally wounded. The dark clouds gathered as Virgie and Teddy were shõt to deàth, leading Cardo’s group to retaliate to fatally injure Jacob. Fortunately, the group was able to escape but the bodies of the Arevalos were left abandoned in the forest to feed the carcasses.
Oscar, on the other hand, prayed that Cardo would be able to subdue the threats of Lily and Hipolito to save the country from the corrupt officials. Lito also felt sorry to have betrayed the Arevalos in his greediness to keep what he laboured so hard for, by revealing Cardo’s hideout to make up for the lost deal.
Lia felt sorry for the group as she came to terms with why they were forced to k!ll to defend themselves. She realised they were good people and offered to help them by sending them to her house to ask her mother’s assistant to treat the injured comrades of Cardo.

In the palace, Hipolito talked with Cassandra to write press releases about the upcoming reshuffling of the cabinet. Learning of Renato’s plans, Lily also initiated an action to stop Renato from controlling the country.
As fate would have it, Lito suffered a share of his actions. Enrique, the father of Lara also launched a surprise attack on Lito. Fortunately, or unfortunately, Lily used her henchmen to back Lito up and finally came in person to introduce herself to Lito. She also gave Lito one of her homes which no one knew of for Lito to occupy to save him from Enrique.
Unbeknownst, Enrique also joined forces with Hipolito to go against Lito. Lia’s father who was unhappy with the fugitives’ presence in his house, decided to call the black ops when he and Lia’s mother went to the hospital for medical equipment to treat the injured comrades of Cardo.
Unfortunately for him, Diana caught him so he was unable to deliver the message to the head of the black ops. Cardo, learning about what Fernando did threatened him and his entire family and also ceased their phones while forcing Lia’s mother to treat his injured comrades. The woman started with Grandpa Delfin who was in a coma.
Hipolito, on the other hand also threatened to k!ll the doctor who he forced to treat Jacob, if she revealed what he did for Jacob to anyone.
