Can’t Buy Me Love Episode 17 Ling employs Bingo to unravel Jaime’s secret, Snoop saves Irene once again
Ling was worried about what she found out about Jaime and still wondered about the reason he was talking to Edward. She began to have her own suspicions.
Bingo also prepared to attend the Seminar which was being put together by Jaime de Guzman.
The following day, Ling came to work to ask Cathy for a leave as she had some family problems to handle but Cathy refused.
As Bingo was at the seminar asking Jaime all the bothering questions, Ling was working at the restaurant. She served and realized one of the customers she was about to serve was Edward.
Edward came there solely because of Ling since his secretary had told him that Ling wanted to have a meeting with him. Ling told him she wanted to meet him for the land.
Though, it was given to Irene, Edward promised to give the land to the King since she had a better project. That was also his way of making up to Ling.
He tried to fish out from Ling if she saw him with Jaime but he realized Ling saw nothing. Ling had lied to him that when she followed him to the parking lot, he was not there. That made Edward think she never saw anything.
Meanwhile, Ling went through the social profile of Jaime and realized Bingo attended the seminar. She went to see him and requested for his help in clearing the name of Charleston.
She was willing to pay 30,000 for the next two weeks. She would cover his food, fuel and everything. Bingo wanted to refuse but Ling knew he needed the money.
In order to cover up for his son, Wilson stopped the investigation and warned his children not to talk about what had happened to anyone.
Once Gina heard that Wilson had halted the investigation, she came to rant out for not telling her that he stopped the investigators from finding out the person who committed the crime. She felt that Wilson didn’t want them to find the real culprit.
Wilson explained that it was not the case, he had stopped the investigators because the investigation was leading nowhere because they were losing money so he rather looked at how they could prevent future losses.
Gina reminded him that she was the family lawyer and deserved to know.
Bingo informed Snoop about the new job Ling had given him and wanted his friend to help in the investigation. He promised to give him 5k and Snoop accepted.
Since Jaime had told Bingo to come and pitch a business plan with him, Bingo and Ling used that as a means to get close to Jaime. Bingo set the dice rolling to arrange for an interview with Jaime.
He called Ling to inform her about the 2:00pm interview and Ling said it was a date. Cathy was happy to see happy and told her that she now knew how it was, he she had a clear head while working.
Elsewhere, Charleston confronted Edward and threatened to get rid of him, if he discovered that he was the one behind the hacking incident.
Stephen went to Shi Wei Tian and Cathy knew he was there because of Ling. She didn’t allow Long to meet him because it was working hours. Besides, she was aware that the family was trying to bring the two together.
Charleston met up with Carlo to show him the picture of Jaime, the hacker and told him about Edward’s connection with him. However, what he needed was proof to back it.
As Ling and Bingo went to the scheduled meeting with Jaime, Gina led Carlo to see Cathy and she gave Cathy a present. Cathy understood all the gestures of Gina as she was telling Cathy how Wilson told her about how she raised him.
After pitching his OPIP to Jaime, the hacker promised to buy his project idea but Bingo wanted to be recognized as the originator of that idea. Jaime had other things and he left.
Ling was hiding in the parking lot. Bingo then ran to her to inform Ling about the personal meeting that Jaime was going. Elsewhere, Irene got drunk and her mother was sorry about everything that was going on in her family.
She felt like a failed mother. She didn’t know what to do for Irene again. Irene decided to return to the restaurant but the idea pissed her off. She didn’t want to make her family feel disappointed.
On the other hand, she didn’t want to work at the restaurant. She walked out and passed out in front of the tricycle of Snoop. Snoop called for help and the people accused him of hitting Irene with his tricycle but he dismissed the claims.
He said Irene passed out because she was drunk. They refused to help him so he singlehandedly carried Irene and she puked on him. Ling and Bingo followed Jaime to an amusement park. They kept an eye on him.
