Court recognises my divorce with Tom Rodriguez— Carla Abellana
Renowned Filipina actress, Carla Abellana has announced that the Philippine court has recognised and approved her divorce from ex-husband Tom Rodriguez.
According to her, the local court has recognised their divorce and was legally single.
The actress confirmed this in an interview on Friday at the “Fast Talk With Boy Abunda” show.
“We are divorced. The court has already recognised that, our local court here,” she said.
Carla and Tom married in October 2021, in less than a year, the two mysteriously separated.
Tom, who is an American citizen and also an actor, said in June 2022 that their divorce decree was final.
Carla in a media interaction said she has “definitely” forgiven Tom, but she was yet to forget about what transpired in their relationship.
“No. What’s more, you know, it just doesn’t leave your head, your heart even, even the body, you still remember it. Especially because it wasn’t so long ago,” she said.
Her anger, however, is “100% gone.”
“It’s hard to carry anger because life is so short. ‘If you hold on to anger, it would just ruin you. It will manifest in your health. Bring that with you,” she said.
Carla said that she and Tom no longer communicate with each other.
The actress earlier this month after the press conference of her upcoming show “Widows’ War” stated that she is “ready” to face Tom if ever their paths cross in GMA.
