Fasten your belt for pain and suffering— Asiedu Nketia chastises Ghanaians for embracing 4 more

The General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketia has cautioned the citizenry to fasten their belt for an unending suffering.

According to him, the Akufo-Addo-led administration within its four year tenure will double hardships as well as increasing the plight of the people without enrolling any form of developmental project.

Speaking in a media interview in Accra yesterday, Mr Nketia noted that there would be consistent fuel hikes, tax increase and unemployment throughout the second tenure of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

He described the second administration as “devastating and worrying” and called on the citizenry to brace themselves up for more hardships.

Mr Nketia noted that the citizenry traded good livelihoods which the National Democratic Congress (NDC) through the former President John Dramani Mahama promised for hardships by the NPP.

He said the decision to embrace four more was a decision to embrace four more hardships.

“You shouted Four more for Nana instead of rallying behind Mahama who promised better governance and livelihoods,” he stressed.

Mr Nketia indicated that the wails and suffering of the citizenry would reach its peak and expressed regret that the country would be damaged beyond repairs by the end of the NPP second term.

“You shouted #4more4Nana. 1more4Nana and you are crying, we have not even gotten to two and three of the administration. By the time you get to 4more4Nana you will feel the pain,” he added.

Mr Nketia said the Akufo-Addo-led administration had no better structures and per the actions and consistent borrowing that was ongoing in the current administration there was no indication that President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo would fix the country as the citizenry were calling for.
