A Family Affair Episode 5 Coleen loses her pregnancy, Dave, Drew return to the Philippines for Paco and Cherry’s wedding
After the wedding reception, Cherry borrowed Seb’s phone to call Dave to question why he could not make it to his brother’s wedding. Dave apologised and promised to talk to Seb. Cherry wanted them to talk but he claimed there was nothing to talk about.
Cherry wept and Paco came in to comfort him. After watching the wedding pictures of Seb, Dave presented the budget for the project to Becca. Becca was enthused and admitted to liking him. She went to have lunch with him.

Paco and Cherry went on jet ski riding. Cherry used the moment to thank him for always being there for her and for believing in her. Becca also hung out with Dave and narrated how she gave up on everything to pursue her dream of becoming a CEO.
One night, Paco went out for an official mission and a typhoon set in. A land slide occurred and looking at the rain, Cherry was so affected, thinking something bad might have happened to him.
She rushed to look for Paco and Seb tried to stop her but he didn’t so Seb got her on her motor. Before they could cross a bridge, they bumped into Paco. Paco cracked a joke that she was scared to lose him and she admitted to her feelings for him.
She said yes to his proposal and started dating. Cherry later told her relationship with Paco to Ebs and her stepmother was happy that she had the big catch. Cherry made it clear that she was not dating Paco for his money but because she løvëd him.
Paco went out with Cherry one night and some random group of men talked against Paco and Cherry. He did not spare the drunkards and beat them mercilessly even when Cherry tried to stop him.
The men got admitted at the hospital and Freddie learnt about it. He spoke with Paco for his act and Paco explained that the men respected his girlfriend, Cherry Red. This sounded like news to Freddie. He spoke to Dave over the phone and told him about Paco dating Cherry.
Dave was not happy that his brother was dating his ex and Freddie advised Dave not to get in between Paco and Cherry. He urged him to allow Paco to have Cherry because he could not stop both from dating and Dave insisted that he should have made Cherry travel.
Freddie reminded him that he said Cherry shouldn’t move anywhere. Soon, Seb led Coleen to land where he wanted to set up his bar. He did not want to go into the ranch business but wanted a bar to pursue his own dream.
Unfortunately, his wife began experiencing some pains and lost her pregnancy. Later, Seb narrated his ordeal about his wife’s miscarriage to his Senior brother Paco. He had so many plans for his child but he lost it. Paco comforted him and believed he would have more kids soon.
He revealed his relationship with Cherry to Seb and his brother advised him to marry her. Paco was surprised because Seb was initially against him pursuing Cherry and now he wanted him to marry her.
Fast forward, Cherry was celebrating her birthday when Paco used the birthday party moment to propose marriage to her with his ring. Everyone including Coleen and Ebs urged Cherry to accept the proposal and she also said yes. Both sealed the union with a hug.
In the state, Drew completed his rehab treatment and was discharged. Dave, on the other hand, received the wedding invitation of Paco and Cherry and he felt sorry. He even crumbled the invitation. In his distress, Dave later had an intimate moment with Becca and both began to date.
After learning about his brother’s upcoming wedding, Drew insisted on returning to the Philippines. Dave was concerned that he would have a trigger and did not want them to return. Drew thought Dave was punishing him and he insisted that he was fine so they could return to the Philippines.
Succumbed to the pressures of Drew, Dave and Drew returned to the Philippines and Seb rushed to welcome them. Paco also got there to welcome him but both ended up watching each other silently till Dave stretched forth his hand to greet him.
Paco rather hugged him. Surprisingly, Becca appeared and the brothers were taken by surprise to learn that Dave brought his girlfriend. He introduced Becca to them and they headed in. Cherry was surprised to meet Becca, Dave’s girlfriend and she complimented her looks.
Cherry wondered why Dave did not tell them he was coming for them to prepare his back. Dave said it was a last minute decision and besides, he did not want to bother them. The family assembled around one table and ate.
Becca could notice the tension between Paco, Cherry and Dave. Freddie joined the table and officially met the new add-on to the family, Becca. After the dinner, Dave went to the kitchen for water and saw Cherry rinsing bowls. He tried to get conversational and told her that he missed her.
Paco appeared in the scene when Dave was leaving and asked Cherry what Dave told her. Cherry said he only came for water. Freddie had a private talk with Dave not to cause any commotion that would ruin the relationship of his brother and Cherry.
He also wanted him to keep an eye on Drew for him not to reveal the past event. Dave made it clear that he was not there to cause trouble. He only came home not to miss the family’s biggest moment.
Freddie could learn from Dave’s speech that he would return to the state but Dave couldn’t give a definite answer. Seb and Drew went horse riding and wondered why Drew and Dave came for Paco’s wedding but failed to attend his.
Drew explained that during Seb’s wedding, he was still at the rehab center. Seb understood him and wondered why he did what he did. For a moment, Drew thought Seb had learnt of his action against Panyong but Seb meant that why he abused drügs.
Drew explained that he had mingled with the wrong people but he was now okay and did no longer want to dwell in the past. He made Seb promise not to talk to him about the past again because he had put everything behind him and wanted to move on.
