Betrayal (Halik) Episode 96 Ace, Jade arrested while Ruby is charged of kidnapping
Helen met with Ace and she pleaded with him to return CJ since the child was the only person Lino was after.
Ace thanked his mother for her help but refused to return CJ since he meant a lot to Lino. Keeping the child, he said was driving Lino crazy and would not stop till he completely destroy Lino.
Barry wondered where Jade and Ace were hiding. Meanwhile, Helen asked Ace if Jade had any family member who could be of help. Ace said Jade had a sister in Singapore but did not believe she would be of help to Jade.
Helen insisted that money could do anything. Jade then called Ace to ask him about their next plan and Ace said help was on the way.
Jacky later visited Paeng and Helen and warned them to release Ace wherever they had kept him otherwise she would ensure the board take his position from him.
Paeng got upset that Jacky wanted to do that against them. Helen intervened and told Jacky that they did not know Ace’s whereabouts.
Jacky warned Helen that no matter what she was doing Ace would end up in prison. Tet and Dolor sent Jade consistent messages asking her to face the law but Jade got upset that they were ganging up on her.
Later, Jade received a message from Marissa who said she fully supported her and should count on her for any help. Jade was relieved to find someone who was on her side and said she really needed her support.
Fe was upset that Ed did not inform her about the arrest of Jade but told Mario about it. Fe decided to go to the police station to hold a live social media broadcast for the world to see Jade being arrested.
Ed advised her against her plans but she said he failed to inform her so she would not listen to him. Tat supported Fe.
Jade heard a knock on the door and realised it was her sister Ruby. She asked her how she learnt about her whereabouts and she answered that Marissa informed her about it.
Ruby stated that Jade was her sister and through thick and thin she would support her. She advised Jade to face the charges and she called Ace to inform him about her sister’s suggestion.
Ace accepted and said they could not continue to hide like fugitives and was about time they showed up. He promised to get Jade the best of lawyer to set her free.
However, a flashback showed that Ruby was bribed by Ace’s attorney to get to Philippines to take care of CJ while Jade face her charges, thus her advice to Jade to stop hiding.
Meanwhile, Bogs forwarded a scam text to Jade that she won a prize and had to go for diapers at a particular supermarket so Jade went to the supermarket to get the prize she won.
Bogs and the cops hid in a car to stalk Jade and he arranged with his friend in that supermarket. Jade saw the day as her lucky day as she received her prize and left in a cab.
Ace went to work and Jacky questioned the guards he had to show up after running away from the police.
Ace said he did not flee but took a day off so the police could arrest him if they had his warrant of arrest.
Jade reached home and called Ace whether their plans should push through since she was scared. Ace assured her that nothing would happen because he had always escaped Lino’s accusations and would escape “this one too.”
The police and Lino who stalked Jade went to her hidden place to arrest her. Ace who was in a board meeting was also arrested separately.
Jade who had her game well planned was without CJ during her arrest. Lino asked of CJ but she insisted that he would never see CJ.
The rest of the police who searched for CJ said they did not find him so Lino quickly rushed to Jade’s room to search for CJ but didn’t find him.
He believed Ace took him. Jacky who realised Ace was up to something also saw that Paeng seemed not to be bothered by Ace’s arrest. Mauro didn’t like it either and told Jacky they had to sack them from the company before they bring them down.
Ace who was talking in soliloquy as he was being transported to the station said Lino thought wrong if he ever thought he had gotten rid of him.
He threatened to make his next move and asked Lino to wait and see. Lino out of desperation tried talking to Jade on phone but she did not answer so he called Marissa. Marissa said she didn’t know where CJ was and swore to him about her innocence.
Lino finally responded to Maggie’s call and Dolor asked of CJ. Lino said CJ was missing but he was at the station to compel Jade to talk.
Dolor was agitated after hearing CJ was missing. She was scared that something bad would happen to him and told Lino she wanted to come to the station to ask Jade herself but Lino told her to relax and asked Maggie to take care of Dolor for her health condition not to trigger.
He tried to compel Jade to talk but Jade scolded him for getting her arrested and said Lino created the mess to get the mother of CJ arrested so CJ would lose his parent.
The female inspector warned Lino to calm down, she said she would be the one to interrogate Jade.
Meanwhile, Helen called Ace’s lawyer and asked her to process Ace’s bail right away and do everything to ensure Jade remained imprison.
Jacky called Ken for an update and he told her about the missing CJ. She pledged her support to Lino. Jade was questioned by the inspector about CJ and Jade said she was arrested for adultery and her son issue had nothing to do with the case before hand.
She however, assured the inspector that her son was in a safe hand. She later had an argument with her lawyer for being slow in her defence and wanted to talk to Ace perhaps for a different lawyer but her lawyer said Jade’s case was different from Ace and was facing two charges.
The attorney of Ace stopped Ace from talking to Jade, explaining that it would rather strengthen Lino’s case. Dolor was still bent on going to search for CJ but Fe tried to stop her.
She was told that she would add to Lino’s burden if something happened to her. Ed told her to think before acting, asking her where she would start the search from.
Lino was told by the police that a delivery boy saw Jade with a certain lady believed to be her sister. Lino asked Jade several times but she failed to answer who CJ was with. She also denied that Ruby was in Philippines.
The attorney of Jade appeared in the scene and threatened to file an harassment case against Lino if he didn’t stop his action. Lino insisted that his son was last seen with Jade and Ace as the later even claimed Jade was his guest and the baby was his son.
CJ kept crying and Ruby realised his milk which was left was not enough so she decided to go and buy some for him.
The agitated Lino gave the police information about Ruby and charged her of kidnapping. Jade looked a bit anxious when her sister was dragged in the mess.
