If VGMA fails to award me with the rapper of the year then hard work doesn’t pay in the industry— Amerado
Fast growing rapper, Derrick Sarfo Kantanka known in the showbiz circles as Amerado says he is eyeing the best rapper of the year award and expresses that failure of the board of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA) in honouring him with the award means hard work does not pay off in the industry.
According to him, he has put up lots of work in the year under review and deserves the “Rapper of the year” award.

Speaking in an interview with the media after the experience concert, Amerado noted that during the time that the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) made the industry dull he was the rapper who lighted up the industry.
He stated that although all nominees were winners but he was the nominee who deserved the award.
“I know all nominees are winners but I, Amerado deserves the rapper of the year award. If I don’t win it means hard work does not pay off in the industry,” Amerado added.
Touching on his nominations, he stated that he gained two nominations namely new artist and rapper of the year award.

Amerado said he would be happy to win the two nominations but he was interested in the rapper of the year and urged fans to fully support with their vote for him to win from that category.
