Fans of the budding Rufftown Records signee, Wendy Shay have challenged her to also exhibit her musical talent by engaging in a ‘beef.’
According to them, Wendy Shay has been sleeping for long, thus deserved to wake up as her other females have woken up to shake the industry.
This came up after the Afrobeat singer described on her page that her colleagues who were throwing jabs at each other through rap music was an indication of women empowerment.
She maintained that it was not a beef but exhibition of talents to fight for their place in the current male dominated industry.
Wendy Shay commended Eno Barony, Sister Afia and Freda Rhymz for such colourful rap display, thus urged the world to support the ongoing female talent exhibition.
“You call it beef, I call it women empowerment..all I see is women showcasing their talent ..female artists are gradually waking up,” she stated.
However, the ak)kora gangster hitmaker’s comments were taken differently by her fans and followers.
They trolled her for not waking up to the beef task with female opponents, adding that she is behaving like musical goddess, Beyonce and needed to rise up from her slumber.
A follower by name No-Time said “If you have talent join them… Wendy Shay wake up.”
Jason asked her to quit acting nice and join them to position the female arts on the firm grounds in the industry.
