‘Kumawood is full of evil’….what sent Bishop Nyarko to his early grave

Saturday evening was greeted with an unfortunate news as one of the key giants in the country’s movie industry, Bishop Bernard Nyarko breathed his last breath on earth.

The sudden news on his demise thrown the country into a state of shock and sorrow following reports of the passing of the Kumasi-based actor.

News of his death was confirmed by various players in the industry, including Mercy Asiedu, Yaw Dabo and Andy Dosty among others.

The cause of Bishop Nyarko’s death is currently not revealed by his family but Spot On News gathered that he was allegedly suffering from colon cancer, thus was receiving treatment at Ridge Hospital in Accra.

Exactly a month ago, a report circulated that the talented actor was given up on his career, which he maintained that nothing could make him rescind on his decision to go back into acting.

He became a full-time pastor, spread the word of God and won souls for God.

According to reports, Bishop Nyarko ditched acting for the gospel after he was stricken with colon cancer.

In a viral video, the award winning Kumawood actor was heard telling his congregation that he decided to follow the steps of his fellow actor, Majid Michelle, stressing that the movie industry was full of evil and would not continue for it to turn him away from God.

“I have stopped because it is full of evil. Every day, you will meet different people, see different girls. All of them want you to become their friends and some of them are coming from the marine-sea, they should take their movie,” he added.

Kumawood actress Mercy Asiedu  and Yaw Dabo shed uncontrollable tears for his demise and wished him farewell.

They also urged the family of the deceased to take heart because death is created for everyone and one day “we shall all travel to our maker.”
