Meek Mill to visit Ghana in December
American rapper, Meek Mill, has declared intentions to return to Ghana this December to tour various historical sites in the country.
According to him, he will explore the historic slave castle in Cape Coast and many historic sites, thus, urged Ghanaians to anticipate his visit.

The rapper took to his X account to share his intent, expressing a strong interest in learning more about the transatlantic slave trade.
“I might come back to Ghana this winter … if so I’m trying wheelie all the way to the slave castles! I need to go see that,” he posted, referring to his desire to visit the symbolic landmarks tied to the history of slavery.
Meek Mill, who first visited Ghana in December 2022 to perform at Afro Nation, expressed his admiration for the country and its rich culture.
During his initial trip, he met with President Akufo-Addo at the Jubilee House, the seat of Ghana’s government, where he filmed portions of a music video, sparking a debate among Ghanaians.

Earlier this year, Meek Mill hinted at a deeper connection to Ghana by expressing interest in obtaining Ghanaian citizenship.
On March 4, 2024, he tweeted his desire to become a citizen, citing issues of racial oppression in America.
“I wanna get citizenship in Ghana!!!! America made to tear Black men down if you don’t follow orders!” he wrote.
