Rex Omar gives facelift to ‘Papa No’ to tout the achievement of Mahama
Ace highlife musician, Rex Omar has given a facelift to “Papa No” by releasing a new track dubbed “Papa Nono” to support the campaign of Ex-President John Dramani Mahama (JDM) in the forthcoming election.
The song which was released a week ago touted the achievements of Former President Mahama and described him as the the “best candidate” who will seek the development of the country.
The ‘Abiba’ hitmaker, who is a staunch supporter of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the music groomed the flagbearer of the party as a Nation Builder who is the good option to spearhead developmental projects.
To him, the erstwhile administration is the best as compared to the current one as praised it as the as “papa no” which literally means the “good one.”
Rex Omar highlighted various projects which were completed by Ex-President Mahama during his term of office in the song to remind Ghanaians of the achievements of the NDC flagbearer.
The renovation of the Ridge Hospital, construction of over hundred Senior High School (SHS) classroom blocks, Tema Port expansion, terminal 3 at the Kotoka International Airport, Accra Digital Center, Legon Medical Center, Kata sea defence and other projects were mentioned in this piece as some of his achievements.
He stressed that JDM’s vision and track record is incontrovertible and is “papa no” for the country.

In explaining his leadership qualities, Rex Omar noted that Mahama is affable, God-fearing and a humble leader.
Over the years many musicians including Daddy Limbs, Philips Baafi, Great Ampong, Sidney among others declared their musical prowess in helping some political parties with campaign music which won them seats.
Although “Papa No” is used by NDC’s political contender especially the NPP to expose the promiscuous aspect of the flagbearer when Tracey Boakye and Mzbel used the phrase to fight each other for the alleged “Papa No”
