Rommel Padilla, the father of Daniel Padilla has expressed hope that his son could get back with ex-girlfriend Kathryn Bernardo in a bid to work out on their relationship for it to sail through the storm.

According to him, the ex-couple had dedicated a lot of time to making their relationship work, and they could do it again.

Rommel expressed his optimism in an interview with showbiz personality StarsPhotog via Tiktok when he was talking about how he helped Daniel in dealing with the fallout of the latter’s relationship with Kathryn.

“There are moments when one’s relationship is tested but for me, I still pray that the time would come for them to meet again and understand each other. They dedicated a big part of their lives to their love. I’m praying for them to rekindle their past love,” he said.

The screen veteran believed that the estranged couple could rethink their decision especially now that they were both single to know the means to patch things over to rekindle their affair.

“While they’re still single, they should rethink or weigh their love in the present. Should they get back together? This is the time for them to think things through,” he said.

Meanwhile, Rommel had earlier denied reports of him pouncing on Kathryn in hopes of defending his “cheater son” on Facebook last April.

Daniel and Kathryn who had been dating for over 11years broke up in November 2023 and confirmed their decision of separation through separate statements on Instagram.
