Ronnie Lazaro wins the biggest acting honour at Sinag Maynila Gabi ng Parangal 

Veteran actor Ronnie Lazaro has won the Best Actor at the Gabi ng Parangal of the 2024 Sinag Maynila Independent Film Festival, on Sunday, September 8 at The Manila Metropolitan Theater.

Rebecca Chuaunsu also took home the Best Actress of the night.

The movie, “Her Locket” emerged as the biggest winner of the night, as the family drama-centered film bagged a total of seven awards including Best Film, Best Director, Best Actress, and Best Supporting Actress.

The film tells the story of Jewel Ouyang, the daughter of a wealthy Chinese businessman, who lost everything after suffering from dementia.

The sixth edition of Sinag Maynila celebrated the brightest names of this year’s iteration, after a four-year hiatus due to the pandemic.
