‘Pulang Araw’ receives plaque of appreciation for depicting historical culture
“Pulang Araw,” a historical series which is brought together by GMA-7 has received a plaque of appreciation from the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB).
The plaque is to commend the cast for the good works they put in showcasing the rich cultural story of the Philippines.
During a short handling over ceremony, the Chairman of the MTRCB Lala Sotto handed the plaque to the series stars Sanya Lopez, Cassy Lavarias, Migz Diokno and Cheska Maranan, as well as the Programme Manager Edlyn Abuel.
Sanya Lopez showed her gratitude for such an acknowledgement for the role she played.
“When he opened up to me really, ‘Your show is beautiful. You all are so talented.’ It seems like that’s all, like ‘wait, I’m thrilled,” Sanya said.
“We are happy because he is watching ‘Pulang Araw,’ he is happy, he liked our roles as young Adelina, young Teresita, and young Hiroshi,” Cassy added.
For her part, Lala said that she’s the biggest fan of the series.
“I’ve been watching them. I follow you. I’m really, really enjoying this series now. I find it so rich in culture, in history. And the actors are doing so well, all of them,” she added.
